Time to introduce restriction on suggesting FPDs
I see newbies suggesting fpds without even checking the deals properly. Sometimes the deal is not even valid and they keep on suggesting fpds, give voteups. May be the original poster itself creates fake accounts to do all this. To stop this practice, there should be a restriction on new joiners here. I see becoming deal cadets is a piece of cake nowadays. Admin should restrict them from suggesting deals as fpd and this power to promote and to not promote should be given once they become deal subedar or at least have 500 karma.
I am not against genuine new joiners and they might feel i am wrong but this is what i feel because of fake/nonsence FPDs suggestions coming these days. Trust me fake voteups and FPDS suggestions does count even if the deal is not so attractive/worthy and sometimes a deal which deserve to be an FPD gets ignored because of this. This has not happended with me but i have seen this many times. I may be wrong in this and hence suggestions are welcome. @bumblefoot

debiting 25 karmas if the dimer is suggesting deal for front pageand that will revert only when it gets promoted to front page….
If that will be the case.

Err! (1) OP suggested 25 karma points, not dimes. (2) I reiterated his suggestion with the flexibility of doing “something similar”.
Admins can come up with the right number based on the metrics available only to them. The point is there should be some kind of punishment for suggesting a deal not on its merits, but because of your affinity with the deal poster.

i will strongly recommend not to do such things by giving 5 dimes to dimers who suggest first for fpd.. this will lead to unneccesary and useless deals to b promoted… and make other dimers sufer seeing green signs and fpd… and problems for admins as well as they will find more difficulty with dimers whose deals wont b suggested even after suggested bymany dimers…as afterall THE DEAL MIGHT B A CRAP…
@DealSeeker you think that reversal of 25 karmas while suggesting FPDs is a good idea ? Strange! if that so i will only suggest @Secretagent or @asm123 threads as FPDs because i know thier threads will become FPD and I will get my 25 back, and will never suggest any newbie or any other guy thread. Karma is what which we have earned by helping others and you think that they would be deducted for just suggesting a deal ?
