Today had issue with Pepperfry

Day before they delievered me faulty/wrong products, completely different from what I had ordered for..
I had ordered 1200/- wooden laptop table and they delievered me some 600rs. wooden foldable tray
Another product was brown colour wallet…but I recd black colour wallet. I was very frustrated and learned about their return policy. I was told to courier them the items and they will pay the courier charges. If they recd damage and defect free products then only refund will be proceed in the form of pepperfry points.

Guys if interested then i will tell u how I forced them to give me reverse pickup service and twice their highpost officials gave me call to talk and settle about this issue, this calls I got from the number which we try to make call to customer care, and this happened without making any single calls to them

My recent issue with Pepperfry on last Tuesday (04/Dec/2012).

Last week I had placed an order for Wall Clock using one of their 50% off coupons. This Tuesday,
my product got delivered, but with a wrong design of the clock. MRP of the product is Rs. 600

The design what I had ordered and the design what I received was totally different. In other words,
wrong product got dispatched.

Sent a mail to their tellus@pepperf…om account on the same day. Next day (yesterday) I was asked
to send the images of the product delivered, which I did.

Now, this morning, I have a E-Mail from Pepperfry with following content.


Hello!

Thank you for writing to Pepperfry.com.

We will certainly forward the images provided by you to the relevant team for feedback purpose. As you have received an incorrect product, we will cancel your order and offer you a refund in form of Pepper Points.

The product cannot be collected back and you can dispose it. Please note that the refund Pepper Points can be used as discount against any of the new orders that you place on Pepperfry.

If there is anything else that we may help you with, please feel free to contact us on 022 6141 7379 or write to us at blank" rel="nofollow">tellus@pepperf…om. _

This was my second issue with Pepperfry in the last 9 months. First being less number of products delivered.

Thanks for your views, to me peace of mind is more important then compensation of hundred bucks or pepper points, chasing idiots and writing them for resolutions for shipment delays, wrong, substandard/bad or broken products and then sending them images to prove your claim is another mental agony and pain, amassing orders can no way be an excuse to putting customers into frustration, if they can not honor or fulfill their commitments or deliver which they been assuring then its their own mess, they should put their house in order. Why a customer suffer just because a site is running behind business at the cost of bad service/product and obviously at expense of customer.

Its your money and your peace of mind after all. One need to choose what is their priority. I had an issue with them long back and I know how to get my refund back though it wasn’t easy, but there are many gullible customers who do not even know channels to escalate their issues and they go back cheated and with regret. Just my view.

I enjoy the shopping for fun/saving & discount
mental agony should not come near to me, even if i loss few bucks.
i suffer losses in offline too, sometimes some products left missed by own mistake,
something broken in our hands,
something do not fit properly.

so we EARN TO fulfill our needs to spend, we spend to fulfill services/products,

Online shopping is +ve > -ve
so BE AWARE OF -ve , do not concentrate over them

pfry is bad from few leading e-commerce site, so dont entrust them any further job to cause you agony,
but its still better than 100 other DOGS like bagit today, timtara.
i bet you pepperfry will match homeshop in next 2 years,
(if you can see other players like indiatimes, hs are in alert due to pepperfry/shopclues)

I dont and I did mention that till it below a value of 500-1000 which can be digested and I can forget next day.

As per ur instructions I had well packed both the parcel and gave to ur sended courier boy who came to my house today-05/12/2012 for reverse parcel pickup around 3pm.

As soon as ur quality checking procedure gets complete…I shall be awating for ur immediate reply so that I can share and discussion the same with my forum friends…relating the matter how fast ur return and refund process works

Guys I got a call…and they told me that whether I want pepperpoints or cash refund…I opted for cash refund which would be deposited in 4 to 5 few days and discount coupon part ka I will get pepperpoints

After reading some of the posts… Why being so harsh guys…:-} These online sites are run by people like us, and mistakes do happen… I too have faced issues with online shopping but most of them were resolved amicably…

Bai aapki baat sahi hai but..kisi aur ki galti ke liye koi aur pareshaan kyun ho. U send the wrong/defective product then its solely your responsibilty of reverse pickup. If Courier guy can come at my doorstep for delivering then he can also come to pick it back for sure.

I have stopped shopping from Pfry since the time they changed their return policies.

Very true. Peace of mind is most important. And thats why Flipkart/HS18/Yebhi rocks. I never had any trouble in returning back anything to them. Yebhi ka quality problem hota hai but whenever I find that the quality is not what I had expected, I ask for reverse pickup, and had no problems at all till now.

Hardly any time was taken to post at dd….as I just copy pasted my written mail conversation, that too on request from few members..as I had already written in my first post itself..if interested then only I will share and discuss with u all friends…(quite few of them also pm me for seeking my suggestions) So just for benefit of my other friends…and I helped to show them the way of how bend them and to get our work done fast.

My style is not to take the tension but to give the tension…(my issue for two items costing Rs. 950/- wasnt that big, though I recieved wrong orders but in good conditions..also had used 50% off coupons(will get that as pepperpoints)…I wasnt at any loss as such

Its true that I felt very irritated on first day right from getting wrong delivery of orders till knowing about their month taking slow return n refund procedure and that iggitation force me to write them total 3 mails in strict to harsh tone (in order to reach my message upto their managerial level)….bcoz this was just my approach to get my work done much faster…otherwise my haalaat might also be same like u all …paagal ki tarah cc number par cal karte raho…then for their faults in delievery we should help them to courier back their wrong products…and refund wil be given only n only if they receive the products in good n neat conditions…that too in pepperpoints form…and all this process might take 15 to 25 days….I just bent them instead of following their instructions bcoz there wasnt my any fault at all..

Except on first day…I didnt felt any stress at all…as many mams including Garisma.S and some from Delhi office frequently called me telling sorry for inconvenience and assured me for providing quick service as I want. Immediately the next day their courier boy reached my home for reverse pick up service..and on third day my refund amount was confirmed.

Accepted that my voice of complaint was little harsh …but instead I should be thanked by them helping to improve their service upto to the mark of other good online selling websites. Hope from now they will think twice before packing and dispatching the orders…which shall benefit my other friends to get delivery of right orders and of availing fast hasselfree return n refund services.

I end my post here ..last but not least, wanna say The magic of my Three para email to them did not required me to make any single calls at their cc numbers to wait for their reply and listen to their instructions and all…instead their staff and mams called quite many times to listen me and I think quite rarely they have acted like this in this last 11 months right from starting their business.
I thank dimers who didint mind using the forum name and forum members support and strength to fight my own personal problem.

its honour/title given by me for your continued persuastion with idiotfry people,
sometimes i also use this, but now fed up and just sitting and wait for the
performance by donkeyies.

I have ordered > 350 times on pfry,
so much satisfied till

1. They give 45-50 % off coupons
2. No shipping charges
3. cancellation attracts some additional bucks
4. Delays i dont mind, as i kept a margin of 1 month with these idiots.
