Click-bait headline by India TV equating vulnerabilities to viruses. Even in AOSP dozens of such vulnerabilities are discovered on a regular basis (monthly) which are then patched by issuing security patches. Some are exploited in the wild for a time before being discovered and addressed. The same holds true for every other operating system. From the security blog it seems Xiaomi has already addressed these vulnerabilities which is surprising considering the short time frame.

One cannot avoid flying in aeroplane which are partly or wholly assembled there, but for daily use items.. one can try.

Once I entered a Calvin Klien shop somewhere. Jeans price in Indian currency was about 9000-10000. The next door shop was of Diesel (same owner had two franchise). Almostly all stock of denim garments was from China, Bangladesh, North Africa, Thailand/Indonesia.
For cotton, I do not even opt for Sri Lanka made garments, if India made garments can be searched for.
Sadly even if India/Indians completely stop importing even one rupeee worth items from China, China would not be bothered much. They hardly have much exports to India, as a total percentage of their exports..
Electronics, people keep buying just by seeing more value (more for less price).
