Hi, @prnkrish , I got @Spock bro’s tag on the other thread, where you were discussing about AC. I haven’t paid much attention to normal star rated ACs. I myself am in the confused stage of selecting an AC. But I am buying an inverter AC, since I am a heavy user. Though the repair cost of an inverter AC negating the power savings is a debatable topic. Now first thing you need to do is contact the service center guys or authorized sales+service team (I am not talking about a big dealers like croma.What I mentioned here is the guys who, manufacturer authorize for both sales and support. A big dealer who sells multiple branded ACs wont guide you in the right direction) Contact all the service centers of the AC brands in your sister’s current location. Now discuss with them about selecting procedures and installation. You will definitely know how informed they are about ACs.The more their information, the better will be their service for that particular brand. Since these service teams are third party, they sometimes recommend best AC from other manufacturers, who are having less failure rate and giving best local support.So you will get an idea about which brands are need to be considered. Now next thing you need to do is finding if the shortlisted brand provide extended warranty offers. For example, in my city voltas was running a 5 year complete warranty on the AC (compressor+condenser+all electronics) and LLOYD was and is running 5 yrs extended warranty for inverter AC and 3 yrs for normal star rated copper model spit ACs. Keep in mind that if you have enough money and you are purchasing an audi/mercedes, you will be wasting the money if there is no support available for the car in your reach.

Thanks for your reply, what Is the diff between normal and inverter AC? And I enquired in my office, an AC mechanic he suggested blue star and Lloyd for AC. How about these brands ?. If yes could you specify the model ? many models will be there and among that some will be success right?. He said blue star never get repaired only maintenance was there and it’s copper condenser.
