Freecharge wallet is not secured, don’t keep any balance in it. Last week I got a mail from freecharge saying registered mobile number has been update to 8878272963 (Not my number). As I did not make this change I immediately logged in to my account using email id and password to check the balance and found that my wallet balance of 150 Rs was gone. I have never shared my password with anyone and only use my personal laptop to login to freecharge so the person who changed the number must be some hacker. I immediately logged a complaint with freecharge by giving them the transaction detail’s and the mobile number 8878272963 used by hacker and requested them to revert the transaction.
Today after 3 days I got reply to my ticket advising me to change the account password (what a brilliant idea) and telling me that the cannot revert the transaction.
These guys don’t care if you lose money or if your account is hacked, they wont help you or rectify any thing at there end they will simply say they can’t reverse the transaction so if you don’t want to lose your money don’t keep any balance in your account and remove all the cards that you have stored in your freecharge account.
I guess the name says it all then.. They Charge u for Free!! :O

I lost ~1200 last month. Someone recharged and had fun.
I questioned customer care, who were promising at first – and a week later came up with the same generic response. I simply told them this can happen either because it was my fault or yours. If it is my fault – which it isn’t – can you please at least investigate and treat me like your customers?
The guy agreed and asked me to file a FIR. I was like meh. F*ck this sh*t. And moved on.
Jahaan OTP waala paytm safe nahi toh baaki sabka kya bolna.. I generally keep that much amount whose loss I can bear.

They just don’t care, if they are maintaining a wallet they should have some responsibility otherwise why play with peoples money. Even with the mobile number I was able to find its a Vodafone number and someone in MP used it. They should be able to find IP of the person who did the transaction, I have also given them the transaction details the least they could do is revert it. Its the attitude like this hackers are going on doing there things without worrying about the consequence.
If hacking is done by some one unrelated and living very far from your place indicates that recently you are phished..most probably this is the case..or you registered on some shady site with same/similar password of freecharge.in…remember or go through your activities in the recent past…
Freecharge is supposed to help you..they should revert or prove that its ur mistake.

Same here. Someone from MP used it.
Ankit Fadia stays in MP?
They won’t do anything – as they always like to blame us. Most of us understand phishing related issues very well, yet when something like this happens – we have no answer as to why it really happened.
Lesson here is to use all the money we have in our wallets.
This is 100% true. Not only freecharge. Mobikwik, OlaMoney, and other too can be hacked.
The only reason your account is not hacked is “your turn not at come”.
did u saved ur password in ur browser ?

ankit fadia is a real sh*t man, dont ever write his name … he hate that as**ole
better have strong password n never share login details with any1 than regret latter…
If someone can access your account then only its possible. Bdw I don’t think it’s done by any hacker. As if someone can hack wallet, i dont think such person is going to waste his time by hacking freechrge acc for 150 rs recharge
If he really want to recharge he can simply do it without changing the phone no.
May be somewhere you logged in ur freecharge or SNAPDEAL acc and forgt to log out.
@swapnilrpatil I think someone has hacked your system.
So i suggest you to format ur system.
One year ago i faced the same issue in Paytm.
And i found that someone has hacked my phone.
Just because of my mistake that i have login through gmail on someones website and that website hacked my gmail then all of my Paytm accounts.
I tried paying on nearbuy for a deal via Frrecharge Go mastercard and Woo it didnt ask me OTP and payment was done , I tried paying once again after few mins and then it asked me OTP
See how much secure their system is
I think its not freecharge that compromised.
Its either you or your system compromised in your security
Better try to create strong passwords and don’t use unnecessary softwares
Good luck
Check this image I recieved strange otp messages,no money has deducted though. But why I got that. I never transacted using FreeCharge Card, my FreeCharge password is strong and unique with 18 digits and I blocked my FreeCharge Card now finally . even if someone break that password what about mpin to view that card,, something wrong with FreeCharge, I have only 200rs in it not about the money, but it matters privacy, don’t know what’s going with FreeCharge
Thats why i maintain Zero Balance and i do not trust these wallet companies atall !

Hey, any update in the Lonovo fraud ?
This is disgusting.I too have done a course in hacking and very well know how to hack freecharge, paytm etc.I even know how to get free balance in my phones, but i even know that they are illegal. But to be very frank,i liked freecharge system.i tried to hack my own id as a test,i failed many times but after help from one professional hacker,i was able to hack it but didnt use it.The reason i am here in DD is because for its shopping offers, they are soo worth
Recently I gave away my pan details ( name surname and dob ) on na phising website
How do I take some precautionary actions and safeguard myself from any harm ?

Hacking and your id doesn’t match.
