Yes, you can use the Lime VCC for shopping. But Amazon’s custom payment system automatically detects VCCs and restricts the usage of VCCs to items that can be bought only via Amazon GCs (exclusions are Woohoo GC, Axis card, Amazon GCs themselves, jewellery GCs, etc.)

I am guessing you tried to buy one of the excluded items. As I suggested, spend the money via the Paytm route to get Axis GC and then use it anywhere or transfer to bank via another wallet like Shmart, Citrus, Pockets, etc.

Ah, I think I finally understand what you mean.

No, bro, Lime wallet is not like Mobikwik or Paytm in that sense. They are like Pockets. They have given you a Visa VCC that you can use on any site. IMO, this is a better system than Paytm’s or Mobikwik’s, at least from the consumer perspective. So, no, there are no websites where Lime wallet is available as a payment option. But I think their app has some feature which “overlays” the Lime wallet on other apps. I haven’t tried this yet though, so please don’t ask me more about it.

Anyway, why are you not simply using the Lime virtual card?

I had expected it to automatically link/fill card details for payment, but didn’t happen that way, That’s where I entered card details manually while choosing Credit Card. But the payment failed @ Amazon. Was I correct???

To your point, I have personally used DBS for the Ola Money offer, a small withdrawal to bank, and a recharge at Paytm. It worked flawlessly for all of these transactions. So I don’t think there is any problem. Still, since you have raised a concern, I have added another sentence saying “Use your discretion.”

It’s currently in a closed beta testing phase for “friends and family” of DBS employees. +1 for smoothness. I also used it for Ola Money. Some glitches were there for some hours. But then it was smooth.

DBS is smooth like butter all transsactions i made till now were smooth. the prob was only once when they were upgrading their system . DBS customer care is also responsive

The only detail I can contribute is that transfer of 1400 bucks from DBS to my bank account hs failed six times in last two days. Test transfer of 10 Rs. was successfully carried out to same bank account couple of weeks ago.
