so i ordered an htc through paytm,seller is brite sales private limited
received package today and when opened found washing detergent soap (ghadi powder soap )inside it.
called Paytm right away and now they say to wait for 72 hours and i shall receive a call from the concerned department
also the first time i called from my number and they seemed to have blocked it as i tried calling second time it got stuck on ivr and keep on saying please wait please wait
I ordered phone for my sister and now everyone look panicked
what should i do ???

Did you ordered from new seller or trusted one?
post it on social media and if it goes vital you will get phone and refund if you’re lucky. first start with a tweet to paytm and post the link here we will retweet it .

you could have captured un-boxing video. whenever you order costly products, it is always recommended to record the un-boxing video which helps to get your hard earned money back (in case seller is cheater.)

Bro, you may feel bad but unless you have unboxing video, paytm is not gonna believe you. Yes, etailers have been responsible for many goof-ups but they have also been cheated and taken advantage of, by customers, so they may not be inclined to agree with just a pic without any proof. And also, if the seller is reputed (3.8/5 is more than decent for paytm), they will obviously take side with the seller.

Usually they give prompt response.. I had similar problem with wrong product delivery however not costly item like phone which was sorted out.. I also bought xperia Z3 from Paytm and did not phase any problem
It is Definitely Buyer minimum responsibility to take Good Unboxing video with order number [For Costly Products] !!
