Posts, you think should have been or should not have been FPD

A hearty congratulation to all the members of this wonderful community on the successful completion of two marvelous,fun filled and productive years and thanks to all Mods,Admins for making this happen. DD had become a part of our lives & I believe each one of us are grateful to it in our own way for giving us the benefits of friendship and sharing.

I meant to start this topic 2-3 days back, but in whatever free time I got, I was busy creating a post as a gift to DD on it’s second anniversary.In the last few weeks I have seen many posts by the members here who are not absolutely sure about the transparency of the selection of FRONT PAGE DEALS.

So far, three of my posts became FPDs & I would like to stick to my posts, only ,to explain what I meant by the title of this topic.

My three FPDs were :

In these three, my first FPD was one of my initial posts, written with a lot of effort and sincerity, but I believe it would not have been an FPD if not for the presentation and it still remains a big question mark for me as to it’s suitability as a FPD.

I would also like to mention here, two of my posts, which, I think could have been FPDs:

The above post took me nearly 3 days to complete and was meant as a gift to DD on the second anniversary…but a post should not become a FPD only for the efforts put in by the writer, but, solely in my opinion, being a great lover of books & magazines, to get so many choices to search & subscribe to these excellent magazines under one roof at discounted rates is a good deal.This post could have been a FPD.

I have no grievances and the mention of my posts above are just a way for the explanation of the title.

If any dimer feel that a topic should have been a FPD or should not have been a FPD please mention it here, and along with it, please give your reasons as well.

I earnestly appeal to the Mods,Admins and all others responsible in the selection of FPDs to explain & mention the reasons as to why a particular post,as & when it come up in this thread, is considered/not considered as FPD.

I know & feel that the selection of FPDs is a thankless & difficult job, and is done with utmost sincerity and transparency as humanly possible but still errors may happen which, I guess, the people responsible would be the first to admit.I would also like to categorically state that I demand no explanation as to why my posts mentioned above were not considered as FPDs, I only mentioned them as examples.

I think proper explanations from the Mods & Admins would go in a long way in creating an atmosphere of minimal discord.

I don’t know if I am right in starting this topic but it is done in good faith & with the hope of not offending anybody.
