Today had issue with Pepperfry

Day before they delievered me faulty/wrong products, completely different from what I had ordered for..
I had ordered 1200/- wooden laptop table and they delievered me some 600rs. wooden foldable tray
Another product was brown colour wallet…but I recd black colour wallet. I was very frustrated and learned about their return policy. I was told to courier them the items and they will pay the courier charges. If they recd damage and defect free products then only refund will be proceed in the form of pepperfry points.

Guys if interested then i will tell u how I forced them to give me reverse pickup service and twice their highpost officials gave me call to talk and settle about this issue, this calls I got from the number which we try to make call to customer care, and this happened without making any single calls to them

and the funniest part is, they have over charged 35 rs per packet. mrp being 420 rs, they charged 455 per packet.. poor dog.. he has to eat left overs..

Garima.S seems to be higher official manager ..may be she took the position after the replacement of Amreesh Murty…I dont know anything about their staffs and backgrouds.., but she was the one who took the concern seriously. After getting my mail, she use to directly call me continuously last evening and today early morning at my cell phone using their customer care number. Today early morning around 10am she agreed for everything I said…providing me reverse pickup service, refunding not in form of pepperpoints but directly bank deposit promised me of taking max 15 days time…i am posting my recent email converations in sequential manner

My 1st mail ….attached with product images

(1) Order No. 100384702 – I had ordered Laptop table “Keya’s Multipurpose Laptop Table” – Rs.1150/-, (Item Id- ACM1572MA236809)

I received wrong product on 03/12/2012 – “Junhen Multi purpose Foldable Tray” of rs.750/-

(2) Order no.- 100382700 – “tZaro Casual Brown leather Wallet”

I had order brown colour tZaro wallet and on 03/12/2012 I was delievered tZaro Balck Colour wallet

Really such a shamefull negligence, I am realy very very unhappy with ur such improper defective service, I have also raised and discussed this issue with my forum friends at desidime.com

Instead of saying sorries if u have little shame also then provide reverse pickup service (bcoz of ur Kurla Branch in Mumbai) and replaced my order by providing correct products , and if that is also not possible for you then refund my amount immediately.

Your such negligence really disappointed me and shocked my forum friend too, if no action is taken in shorter time then soon we the group of 90 members from desidime.com and freekaamaal.com shall be proceeding to consumer court and give a nice shot article in Time of india media disclosing all about pepperfry.com mistakes and negligent services.

The mistake of delievering wrong products…is from your end…so like other online websites like Flipkart, Myntra, Jabong, Homeshop18, etc(one of the best online selling sites from which I never faced any problems), u should too provide reverse pickup services, why should I take the burden of sending courier and taking all this pains all bcoz of ur negligences and faults,

And ur another condition of approval of refund only if the products is properly courier to you defect-free blah blah blah…..so bcoz of ur faults only again I have to take another risk of sending you the items securely in order to get my refund back…….what is this all non-sense? the hell u dont know to do the business then close it. If in case i return the product by courier…and product gets damage or defective during transit…then I will be in Total loss without getting any products. With such a rediculous poilicies you are running your business.???

Also I learned about ur refund propcedures, I dont want refund in form of pepperpoints…bcoz I am not going to make any future dealings with ur fraud site, also will try to stop the new customers who are ignorant about ur shamefull act and services, to stop them getting trapped like me, by disclosing with various proofs before My neighbour – The Chief—Editor in Times of India media.

Just Google search ur website name…u will find 100’s of complaints from 1000’s of customers about ur rediculous services. Go to desidime.com and freekaamaal.com, again lots and lots of complaints that u will hate to read. if my forum friends agrees, then there is nothing wrong in filling the case and raising the issues before Consumer Court.

Never really followed such huge procedure but ever since Pepperfry’s existence I never experienced reverse pickup from them.

She too told me to either keep or dispose off the wallet…but when she realised that wallet is rs.650/-, she requested to send back that also..

I fully agree with Vish, coz never faced any problem with them in no of transactions. Only once it happened, few months back when i ordered 2 bedsheets amounting around to 650 with 550 off coupon. I got one of them in 7 days and got a mail after 9 days that the other is not available and they will be crediting the actual price which was 650 + 300 bonus pepperpoints, which I got next day in my account. So as per calculation, I paid a total amount of Rs 650, git one bedsheet + 950 pepperpoints, which in my view was good. It is just my experience what I had shared. I also agree with other dimers regarding various issues with the website and it is prudent to take up such issues at several forums including our very own desidime as well as facebook and twitter pages, to get the solution as fast as possible.

My overall experience with pepperfry is very good. Did not have any issue.

Morning again I got call from some another madam from same cc number, was talking sweetly to settle the issue and said that courier boy will come for reverse pickup service within 3 to 4 days.
So My next mail wrote to them today at 2:00pm…..and then within 15 minutes I got call from courier boy (from Quantium Courier) asking for my exact address location and just now he took away my return parcel

I wrote…..
Ur whole shipment process, refunding process and everything is so slow. Why dont u peoples learn and adopt the strategies from other online selling website like Myntra, Flipkart, Jabong, Homeshop18, etc.

Just try it urself with anyone Flipkart or Myntra or Jabong.com….and request for anything either return or replacement, and within 24 hours ur returns, replacement, cash back, and coupon adjustment.. all matters are solved, with just only one single request….not like ur slowest pepperfry.com support service which consumes more than 15 days to month to solve every single issues. Calling at ur customer care itself is a headache

And now ur ridiculous shipping charges…now none of my forum friends are even interested to deal with ur anything, only one line they say “Better stay off from pepperfry.com”

I am already being cheated with my two previous orders (wrong products were delievered), dont know when ur courier boy will come for reverse pick up service…then ur quality checking process and finally for refund I will be kept awaited atleast for a month..just resulting into wastage of my time..with benefit of just nothing. U dont have even replacement policies..

If my same matter was held with Myntra or Flipkart,etc I had got the replacement withing a day or two…that too upto my satisfaction

Sorry to learn about your experience, what is bizzare about pepperfry is why so many customers receive broken/damage products and sub standard/bad products, so it is safe to conclude they ship such products intentionally.

Second they have evil intention to keep your money because they dont want to refund money back they want to return it in pepprfry points even if it is their mistake, means once yur money goes in their account you are their mercy and burn your money to buy it from their site in a month.

third they have no transparency if you ever raise a ticket with them they would not confirm the same in writing by email, mostly they would like to settle a dispute by calling you and would not give you anything in writing so they can easily get away later.

fourth they mostly delay shipment of products and will not update you about it till you go ask them through chat, in most case delay could be as much as 15 days minimum.

fifth paying them twenty days back and yet you dont receive your product or receive a damaged or sub standard thing which you have not ordered, mind you they know what they sent they are doing it intentonaly, and then if you are lucky they would get it picked up back else would compensate you for shipping which would be peanuts as amount to ship back the items would be much more then what they want to re imburse you and then wait for another 10-15 days to get clearnaces and get refund which may take another 7 days minimum

what you earned out of all this, frustration, mental agony, pain, wastage of time and worry about your money all the time, lost peace of mind and sleep, this is pepperfry for us.

I have stopped buying from them unless item is below 500 bucks or even if it is between below 1000 bucks because that is loss I may digest without loosing my sleep, but still loss is loss.

Please I am not inviting any arguments, I have a freedom and free will to share my opinion. Not to say same goes with yebhi, unless i get smething from yebhi which is like 60-75 % off in total from mrp i wont buy it. Atleast yebhi is little better then this pottyfry as they have try and buy and have a refund policy and ship products very quickly, you should give credit where they deserve.

My views: Probably they have engaged new merchants/ merchants with less committment in order to expand the range or to increase the margins,
hence new sellers are not packing the product with bubble wrap and improper handling. I just today got the refund for my Euroline Toaster shipped
by AVS Enterprises, Delhi

i shoot the mail to [email protected] requesting to blacklist the seller.

Nobody / CC will be happy to cancel the order, attend the customer, make accounting entries and give 300 points extra or
refund to cc in selected/pressuried cases. Tell me a single site which gives you even 100 bucks extra for refund/cancellation due to OOS.
i am not defending idiotfry , but saying that dont assume that they have ill-intentions, its due to their breakneck speed, they have amassed so many orders in 11 months,
and surely to touch > 3 lac actual orders by the time of completion of 1 year (4th Jan 2013).

This is biggest irritant to shop with them, they must make their house in order before forcing us to accept the points in the shape of refund, but ve are

coupon availed
2. points valid across the site.
3. the marginal high of Rs 15/- to be paid for each order, is negligible.
4. points are valid for gold coin, too !

Mail to everyone you know in pepperfry, and you can get the reply, surely, i got too many for the same issue.

but they are very loyal, seldom they dispatch twice the same order.

This was the recent mail I wrote to them after giving my return parcel to the courier person hired by them..

I wrote…
As per ur instructions I had well packed both the parcel and gave to ur courier boy who came to my house today-05/12/2012 for reverse parcel pickup around 3pm.

Inside the parcel along with two products (Wallet & Wooden Foldable tray) I have enclosed both the invoices and a Declaration letter giving the product details as said.

Full care was taken in packing the parcel and giving the same to the courier person, who personally checked the items before me, and also the product images were taken before handling the parcel to him.
I shall not be held responsible with whatever happens with the parcel-in-transit while in the hands of your hired courier boy.

Now what next? when I need to give u my bank details for the refund. I am waiting for ur immediate reply.

Please note that I dont want refund amount in the form of pepperpoints…I had strictly demanded the refund as direct bank deposit and I was also informed that discount coupon part will be given to me in the form of pepperpoints.

As soon as ur quality checking procedure gets complete…I shall be awating for ur immediate reply so that I can share and discussion the same with my forum friends…relating the matter how fast ur return and refund process works
