I bought a geyser from there site. when I call them they say send a copy of bank statement and a photo id proof for confirmation. this bullshit. They can misuse my id proof and bank statement. 
I will never send any of that to timtara. instead in some time I am going to call them ask them to cancel me order.

dnt know.. there representative keep saying “this is just for verification” LOL!! I said none of the other website ask for it. why are asking? in reply i get answer as “this is company policy” Fcuk there policy
Yeah… who has time to do all that. Plus there is risk involved, like you mentioned. Never heard of any online or even offline seller asking for these docs. Strange policy. I’d have cancelled my order too. But they didn’t ask me for any such things when I’d placed an order couple months ago.
“Letsdie” had asked me once for it. They still went ahead and cancelled the order. Buggers!! But yes Timtara is a generation website. Order in one and get in the next.

I’v only placed one order with them… and mercifully, they did not take till the next generation. They shipped it in some 4 days, and pretty well packed, v new stock and sent thru Bluedart (if I recall right). Received it in li’l over a week. However, customer care was non-existent and what pissed me off is that I had to pay Octroi. But it was still worked out cheaper than other sites I checked, so not too much to gripe about.
What is their reason for asking for the same?
