Xolo Q800 And Xolo Q700 Review

Build Quality
Okay q800 has been used for 1 month so i can vouch for the built quality.The back panel has not received any scratches till now.The black matte finish looks great till now.The Screen quality is better than S advance which i have used also.Q700 was brought for my sister so i have hardly used it.The screen of Q700 is better than Q800 bcoz of OGS.Change your screenguard as soon as you recieve your phone for better touch experience.I found the touch less responsive in Q700 than my Q800.This issue might be because of poor screen guard not sure of it.
Camera
Q800 camera both front and back win hands down.The camera quality of q700 is much worse than Q800.Even images taken in low light in home were saturated in fully zoomed.If you are a person who loves to click images Q700 is not your choice than.I was able to record 1080p video on Q800 but Q700 failed.
Music/Video Performance
The handset provided in both are of poor quality.The white one in q700 might look decent but the music suxx on it.Buy a decent one on ebay.Video player in q700 could not play a 1080p file.I have heard you can do it on mx player in software mode.Will try that out and confirm.But in built player did not play it.I have thrown a 1080p rip of 4 gb on my Q800 and it played it without any problem.The sync was perfect.The in built player was able to play 1080p but i still rooted my phone and removed it to keep mx player

Gaming
I can not comment about Q700 has i have not played anything on it and i dont think my sis wants to play anything except surfer and temple run.
On Q800 i have tried almost every heavy game i can try.Virtual tennis works completely smoothly on it without any lag.Alphat worked but it did heat up the phone after a while.You can run every mid level game on this gadget without any headache.The smooth touch response makes it a enjoyable experience in my opinion to play games which generally work on 20k+ Phones.
Call quality
Q800 has much better call quality than Q700.The sound was decent on Q700 which wont create a problem in open places but say you are in a noisy traffic jam i am not sure it will be easy to hear the other side.I have travelled with Q800 on metro a lot and i can say i 
not faced any issues of call drop or anything.
Interface
Q700 interface was poor in comparison to Q800 which shocked me 
.The android version on q700 is 4.2 so the general belief was it would more user friendly build but to disappointment the notification bar is messed up with stupid stuff.You need to change the menu first in notification to go in settings like bluetooth which should work easily like swiping down and clicking on bluetooth icon but on q700 first you need to change the menu than you can access all icons like GPS,Bluetooth,Brightness etc.
Miscellaneous Stuff
Firstly issues faced on Q800
1:- I have noticed that my sim is not detected once in 2 weeks.This genrally happens when i leave my phone on charging in night and morning i detect that my sim is not being detected.To solve it i remove the sim and reinsert it.Than my sim is working again.
2:- The heatup of charger while charging worries me about how long the charger will work.It heat ups too much.
3:- Occasionally the headset icon on the screen does not go away when i remove my headset.I think it is the rom issue.
4:- The availability of pouches is still a concern for me.
Issues faced on Q700
1:- The sim i inserted was in 2 slot.After a while my sis told me she was not able to make calls.The error was no sis inserted/sim error.The network was also gone.Changed the slot to 1 and now it is working well till now which is not a long time.

Aap abhi tk ispe hi aade ho.Buy kiye koye kafi time hogaya.For call clarity you cant to do much dont know your phone problem but mine is working very well in terms of call clarity.
For music try N7player.

i have installed mx player and double twist but still songs clarity remain same. call clarity is ok just that some times i have to hold the phone in various directions to make it more audible.
also this screen lock can be done with power button. so for that is there any way out.
for sms led notification i have installed light manager app but still mobile does not light when sms comes
ok for sms led notifications – install chomp sms app and change the settings in the original sms app installed on xolo q800. in the settings section disable notifications to avoid duplicate sms
Heads up :- Q800 manufactured post MAY end will have the same chipset as Q700. Q700 outperforms Q800 (slightly)http://www.techtree.com/content/reviews/3865/re….

any apps to unlock phone without using power button on xolo q800
My review after using for a few hours.
Look
1. Q700 Display is awesome. This mobile looks premium. No one will believe this is a sub 10k mobile. Build & finish can be compare with any premium brands in 20k – 25k segment.
Camera
2. Camera is good only at day light. Out side photos are very good. But low light photos are horrible. You can’t see any thing if you snap a photo without flash in dim light or night photography inside a room. Close-up photos with flash are strictly ok in low light.
Music
3. I think the headset provided in my box having some problems. The music is not that much clear. It is like you are hearing music from a distance. I tried my LG P500 headset but the result is same. Finally I put my Sennheiser MX-170 & now music is very good.
4. Call quality.
Call quality is lower than my LG P500. Even at full volume the sound is average. I didn’t tries with the headphones. I think this will be a problem in noisy environment. Call in speaker mode works well though.
5. Miscellaneous
1. Unlike Micromax which will show quick settings by swiping down in Home screen, Here we will see only notifications and icon to access quick setting.
2. To wake up the screen from sleep more, we need to press the power button only. There is no other way like pressing the bottom touch buttons or shaking the mobile which seen other brands. I think accessing the power button regularly may damage it in long run. ie Bottom function buttons will work only after unlocking the screen.
3. To my surprise Face unlock & USB On the go feature are available

That’s a feature of 4.2 even on my S3.
any negative points so far….
Charger of q700 has some problem changed it with q800 one.The screen would become unresponsive when charging.I think its the power issue other than that no issue till now.
I have been reading few places that the GPS of Q700 doesn’t lock or it takes a long time to get a position lock. Can you please confirm is this so?

Yes, I am also facing problems to get GPS locked. Most cases it showing wrong positions.

@Santosh, I found the following comment on XDA website:
just had to enable EPO GPS assistance, got the tip from a youtube video….only thing the gps reports i am 300feet higher than i actually am. The same issues even on my friends q700…i can live with that…
Have you tried the above setting? If not could you please try and report? If GPS doesn’t work fine then its a big let down for me. I am still waiting for my order from Tradus. I can switch to Q800 since GPS is very essential

Enable GPS EPO Assistance and check EPO data download.and check it outside your house..
while playing songs mp3 format on xolo q800 the sound is very low. any app to improve the sound quality
