Just a blind doubt !! Will Tanishq give 5% (TATA employee benefit) + Amex 10% together ?? .. someone can give a try 
TATA employee benefits are applicable only on making charges. (10% discount on making charge). Last month there was a similar offer on HDFC Cards, 10% cashback. Both HDFC card benefits and TATA Employee benefits were applicable at that time.
Even for gold coins will have making charge. Better option to buy jewels having 7% making charge + 3% GST : so you will get jewels for gold rate
May be Tanishq-being a premium brand that it is-is typically charging a making charge of 10%+…may be more for jewellery:) 
In any case, the 10% discount deal (with a high upper cap on disc amt) looks good-for those anyways planning to do such a genuine txn (and not just for trading or arbitrage of gold). High min cap at 50k i guess may deter most (less-serious) of the ppl though I guess…
