Yes, don’t have to use poison just because it is free. Ordered couple of pantry items still skipped this because if bought at least for the sake of not ‘wasting’ someone will drink.

You could have used it to remove rust, clean toilets etc. You thought Coke is only for drinking? It’s a multi-purpose liquid.
Moreover, you should try tasting it once just for its flavour. Ditch water smells better.

@ranjithsai01 @DealSeeker – Call it sheer bad luck, but I was part of a shitty college for a year, where non-vegetarian food was cooked using the same utensils. As a hardcore veg guy, my options were severely limited. To make it worse, like everyone else, I was a huge advocate of “avoid coca cola, man.”

But it was in that moment, in that time, in some distant part, where restaurants were rare… I had to survive only on buns and cokes.

I would call a friend and go to the local bakery. Get a soft drink (maaza or pepsi) that goes along with aloo bun / veg puff. Months later, I slowly moved from coke to sprite to dew. And enjoyed them all.

It was my everyday lunch. It quenched my thirst. Made me feel full. I knew it wasn’t the right move. And I didn’t want to tell anyone at home. I did it for a year. And left that hellhole of a college after that.
