my amex online account was hacked last night…got alert for email address change…called amex cc within 2 mins…idiot exec transferred me to frauds team…by that time perp had already completed one 5k transaction at CC avenue…yelled at him to block my card immediately because i was getting otp sms…after that perp attempted two more transactions at payu but they were declined…it was almost like i was in some sci fi movie…no idea how he got hold of my account credentials i am super careful A2Zdeals Socrates disclaimer hiteshparmar.007104

Guess Amex India is run by a bunch of idiots who have no concerns for card holder’s security. There are multiple loopholes which can be exploited for card misuse. Take caution.

Despite the fact that Amex is among the best if not the best cc, and their customer service team are 100x better than others, pleas note that Amex has some inherent security issues and their management is dumb. Ur regular visa/mastercard or even penny wallets have stronger security protection features. I had discussed over phone with their customer care about the potential exploits which they agreed. However after writing to them they did not bother to respond.
This fraud could have been avoided if only the Amex india login site had raised an alert when a new device was used for login.

Anyway we can block International transactions?

Best is that it is on cumulative spend, so I can do 2 1k+ transactions on my gold card next month and get that benefit as well.
