How is build quality and battery backup…
I just ordered, was waiting for hp with ryzen 5 3rd gen, but that never came within 35k, so couldn’t stop myself from ordering this.
Will it support 16gb RAM?

Is it a paid upgrade? or simply free button click & upgrade?

Edited: I am unsure. Some mention it as a free upgrade while some mention that they unable to upgrade for free.

PS: Microsoft should update their guides to mention that the upgrade is free or paid.

It’s a free upgrade. It’s written on Avita’s as well as Microsoft’s website. However, once you switch, you can’t switch back to S mode.

I think it’ll be better to go for Asus, who offer almost 85-90% bang to the buck as Avita does, with some of their ryzen 5 models like the ASUS VivoBook 15 M509DA-EJ562T.
The extra premium you give to Asus can give that peace of mind considering it’s Asus which has a pretty long history in India + the support network.

Just received the laptop… first impression, its really light.
I thought S-mode is student mode but it’s secure mode.

I didn’t notice any sound.. keyboard is delicate, might not last long. Power button is also one key, just like any other keyboard key.
After initial setups, took 8 seconds to boot.

I plan to buy this at the BB sale for 27K…
One important question – Is the RAM dual channel or not? Maybe you can run a program like Speccy and find out…
Single channel RAM cripples the Vega graphics quite a bit…

I bought in July 2019. I am totally satisfied with product and quality provided in that price range. I still remember first unboxing of this laptop. It’s was like to have apple product under 33k. Touchpad was like feather. It is almost 7 inch hence you don’t need mouse sometime. Also during registration of warranty I got total 3 years. Still don’t know how? My laptop warranty will lapse in 2022.
This is perfect for office use, multimedia watching.  This is not meant for gamers.
But 8 gb ram and SSD gives you lag free performance for daily usage, it increases individuals productivity.
Important RAM is not upgradable
Battery will last more than 5 hours. You may get less battery when you watch FHD videos on high brightness.
Avita is bold enough to provide 2 year warranty means they either wants to have customer long time or they are enough confident on their product quality.

Also this warranty covers battery pack. So if your battery not giving enough backup then it will be free to replace.
This company is based in HongKong.

Only I miss Fast charging because laptop takes more than 2.5 hrs to charge.
I don’t have any review for services as my laptop had not problem in last 1.5 years.

Any dimer can post here if they had any experience with Avita Service Center.
