it was website, but new thi ya old i dont know that as i havn’t used thier website much thier app is also too much buggy, because once from app my payment deducted, they processed the order but on the same day i got message of refund initiated message from Domino’s as your payment wasn’t proceed. Azeeb hai ye sab. i got order + refund both.

I think I know the reason now @DealSeeker.

@VaibhavJain was able to apply coupon with egv because Dominos had “The Best Idiot” contest for under 18 kids who were, well, just pure idiots.

And VaibhavJain won that contest every day till the contest lasted.

Mate, I have tried to use these e-gvs before in the old website interface (Now I use physical vouchers). That time e-vouchers dint get applied if there was any coupon in the order. Also pizza is must to use this voucher. So if ordering only side, do a pickup with the pizza mania pizzas in the order.

maybe those user specific bogo coupons work with egvs

so this is what happened with me
was trying to check if e gvs were working with coupons, as soon as i entered the gv code in payment tab on dominos app the order went through straight (order just got placed itself no confirmation or 500 deducted from total amount ). Even more shockingly i got call from store that my total was 821 -500 = 321 to be paid by cash . When my order was 705 rs total after taxes ( while the tax was 105rs )
Dominos somehow added vat of 150 more on bill after placing order ( not sure how they calculate it ).
Had asked the store manager to cancel the order n he agreed, not sure how would i get refund on e gv now

edit : any knows dominos support email ?
sent dm on twitter but no response yet

You shouldn’t have cancelled the order. You could have asked to remove some items from the order to get the price down to under 500. Now your eGV is gone. They don’t have any refund process for eGVs (I have already tried once). Your only option is to claim refund from Nearbuy and see if they can help.

You shouldn’t have cancelled the order. You could have asked to remove some items from the order to get the price down to under 500. Now your eGV is gone. They don’t have any refund process for eGVs (I have already tried once). Your only option is to claim refund from Nearbuy and see if they can help.

store manager was saying that i’ll get refund in payment mode in 7days ( but i doubt him )
didn’t know that e-gvs can’t be refunded , but why should i pay more due to their mistake ?
almost 120rs more on such order

AFAIK, Domino’s calculates and shows you the amount due with VAT before you make the payment. So the miss was probably from your side.

On my first order with an eGV, I ended up in a similar situation. I ordered items worth more than 500 and assumed that I would be able to pay the remainder via Paytm. But the order got processed immediately after entering the eGV and I discovered that I was supposed to pay the remaining amount in cash. I didn’t have that much cash with me at that moment so I escalated the issue all the way upto their regional sales manager in Bangalore and, after a decent discussion, he even offered to compensate for my trouble by sending any Pizza of my choice for free. But he couldn’t offer a refund for the eGV. Then I also spoke with Domino’s customer care and they confirmed that they don’t have the option to issue refunds to eGVs.

This is why I have been warning people about the issues with Domino’s eGVs whenever I get a chance. CC @sidbhai @VaibhavJain

→ Never cancel the order – once placed, it’s better to remove items by talking to the customer care.
→ Get ready to pay additional money for the order.

Well, taxes will add up and make it 500ish right? Haven’t ordered from the new site yet. Today, my family relies on me.

first of all, the new dominos site is sh!t.

now coming on to egv, they never worked for me while applying coupons on website.
but, they worked in the mobile app with all coupons(bogo,edm30,basically any coupon) may be because of some bug in mobile app.

so you guys can try your luck in mobile app if it doesnt work in website.

yep, total amount would be deducted from gv ( use cant use it again if any balance left )
just apply e gv when you are ready and sure with your order
as it doesn’t ask for confirmation or anything after entering gv ( thats where everything went wrong for me )

I called the store and talked to the manager , he accepted that mistake was on their end.
due to some technical glitch total vat was charged twice..
about gv refund he had no idea ( as i already knew )
he assured me that he will talk to his seniors and get back to me
lets see what happens now

update : got call from manager , he offered me to order anything from dominos worth rs 500 in exchange of e gv refund
