Regarding your last point: Do you mean to say that there is some section added in IT law from coming financial year wherein if my income tax liability is Rs. 1 lakh and I contribute Rs. 1 lakh to PM welfare fund then I will not have to pay any income tax and can claim full refund from IT dept. ?

To all the people fighting here over one comment made by someone whether we should give donation or not I urge to say you’re not “donating” rather you’re"contributing".
Also I stand with his point about wasting millions-billions of money building statue, election etc etc. We’re unfortunate here our elected parties do it. Also this applies to all political parties.
Lastly, if you’re still not willing to contribute, please contribute, you’ll get full tax exemption from your next assessment year. So, basically you pay nothing at all.
