I don’t think it is overpriced just for India. You all need to realize in US the price doesn’t include sales tax. It would be ~$110 including it which would be around INR 8000. Import tax or whatever tax levied on Apple would be more in India than in the US. I think this is one of the Apple product which is launched in India at a fair price compared to US.
Is it worth it at this price or not is a different debate though!
what exactly can it do that a 2K echo dot connected to a reasonably good speaker (another 1.5K) can not do?
