Would have bought the same but as you can’t control the band that it would latch on to, makes it a bad choice. With my phone at least i can force it to connect to 2300Mhz band to get max available speed in most areas.

For mediatek chipsets there is a code by which you can force it to connect to the band you want. For snapdragon i am not aware of any such options. One of the reasons i bought flame 2 because its a mediatek chipset and i can switch bands.

For those who are using Flame 2:
1.Dial * # * # 3646633 # * # *
2.Select BandMode
3.Select SIM1
4.Uncheck Band 3 and Band 5 and SET
5.Check the speed

Install Jio Join to make calls. Wifi must be on.

The postpaid list is also there in the jio website.

The JioFi device will only works on 4G signal. It doesn’t have 3g and 2g frequencies for travelers & it is locked to Reliance .

there will not be any pack for 50 rs, what they meant was it can be as low as 50 rs per gb on higher denominations

They are smart they would not give unlimited data to everyone for free. Hence this offer, I would not be surprised if the charge 500 odd upfront for the sim or ask to recharge some pack to get 3 months free offer. The games begin …
