Why hdd is still around?
THE difference between a hdd and sdd performance is like 10 times.
Its like going from a 12 year old Processor to a latest one.
In one shot you get the performance of an i9 Processor which is like using a atom pentium while using a hdd.
I am talking of apps opening, boot time, bit of multitasking on simple productivity apps. The difference is huge.
I think a machine equipped with an atom Processor with an ssd drive and a machine equipped with an i9 with a hdd will have similar boot time same apps opening time.
Bro, I know SSD is good but its price is also higher. Even if you go with 256 GB SSD its price will shoot by 3k atleast and you will have 1/4th storage.
So it depends on person what you want. If you want to play a lot of games or high performance from laptop then you need SSD for sure but if you need to store data and watch movies occasionally, and study only then HDD also serves the purpose considering you get much more space to store data at lower price.
I saw a deal coming up at about 20 K in the upcoming sales. It has a very basic Processor but is equipped with an ssd.
Where?
I am talking of this.
