It should work.
Would have tried if I had an HSBC card. Because either way i’ll be getting 10% so in my case, I would go ahead and combine both offers. After all I have nothing to lose. Even 10% would mean a lot if in future during an emergency if i’m required to book an International Flight and there’s no offer running at that moment
