Hmm exciting price. I however have lost trust in these external hard drives since mine died (Sony 2Tb) after using for maybe less than 12 times. Much better to go for internal ones.
My 1TB internal drive died within 7 months. I couldn’t go to offline store from where I bought till the end of the first year and that a-hole store owner refused to replace my disk saying it’s out of warranty though I had went to him on the exact last day of the 1 year period.
Later my friend who is also in the same business told me they can easily replace any hard disk till 1.5 years if you bought offline. Lost trust in hard disks. Make multiple copies of whatever is important. I lost all my college pics after 2 internal hard disk failures.

Both Seagate and WD have similar failure rate. That being said I remember RMAing one Seagate External HDD 3 times to get a working one

If you don’t mishandle the drive and remove it safely all the time, it is highly unlikely to fail. I have had 3 external hard drives for 6 years, 4 years and a year respectively and i never had any problems.
I had bought a 2 tb Toshiba basics drive from paytm 6 months back… It came in an open seal.. anyways since it got detected and worked I copied my imp stuff and kept it safely… Last month when I connected it, it wasn’t detected… That was shocking as my data was gone. Next shocking thing is, Toshiba doesn’t accept online RMA requests, I had to Visit almost 200 kms just to get the drive replaced…
Rashi Peripherals? Did they demand Serial No. of the drive on the invoice? Cuz Amazon didn’t provide it despite repeated requests.

Stay away from 4tb drives if your data is dear fr you.
Bought a 4tb wd and it was crying from day 1 of purchasing it. Im really sceptical on copying or leaving movies on it.
Every time i copy some movies from my lappy it disconnects automatically.
Tried different combinations of laptop amd cable.
Wondering if i should try an rma or stick with the hdd.

I read all of above comments. Is Toshiba hard drive is better then wd or segate. If it is which model is better
WD (and even Seagate ) have more seamless aftersales service. You can easily check the warranty status online. In case of WD there’s no need of invoice even unless there’s mismatch in the warranty start period. Plus it used to offer door-to-door RMA service. Not sure if it’s the case now. Toshiba only allows you check whether the drive is in warranty or not. That’s it. No info about the warranty start date etc. Invoice is mandatory. That being said Rashi Peripherals handles ASS and its decent reportedly. Both my Toshiba drives are much faster than the 5 WD drives I have currently including a couple of internal ones, 115-145MB/s vs 75-90MB/s. Toshiba doesn’t provide a drive diagnostic tool but you can use the WD one for full sector scan. All 3 provide 3 years warranty depending upon the model. My preference Toshiba followed by WD. I know HDDs of any brand can die at any time but still can’t recommend Seagate unless its a price error deal.
