My cousin recently met with minor accident on national highway.
He had to repair the bike in nearby workshop which costed him around 5k.
He later raised claim in acko on same day. Survey guy visited and checked the bike. He provided bills to survey guy.
After 2 days, acko has surprising repudiated/rejected claim by mentioning claims reported after repairing bike are not acceptable.
But I checked their policy and website. They have clearly mentioned below.

If you meet with a bike accident and the bike has sustained damages, you can get it repaired at a garage of your choice and then get the repair costs reimbursed. You need to submit the original repair bill, payment receipt, etc., to initiate the process of reimbursement. ACKO shall deduct the required deductible amount and depreciation of the parts as per the terms and conditions of the policy and reimburse the balance to you.
So this policy is changed now ? What is the case with other bike/car insurance companies?
He should have informed before reparing the bike
