Need advice on choosing a cycle for a kid.

HI guys,

I’m planning to buy a cycle for my daughter under a budget of 8k. She is 5 and half years old and 115 cms tall. She has outgrown her current hero cycle. I have checked out a few cycle shops near me and most of the local shop seems to stock Hero, BSA cycles costing around 5k. Unfortunately, most of the cycles for kids from brand such as Hero, BSA looks very flimsily and poorly built to me. Her current Hero cycle has almost fallen apart in just in just 2 years so I’m a bit wary about choosing local brands.

Got a chance to check out BTWIN range of cycles in Decathlon. These seems to be much better built than the likes of Hero however for a starting price of 6k, all you get a barebones cycle. Accessories does tend to cost a lot. A side stand for 500 bucks seems like a lot of money. And most BTWIN cycles design seems to cater boys, at least that’s what is in stock in my local Decathlon store.

I’m sure many of the dimers might have gone through a similar dilemma. If you suggest any other brands, I would be happy to check it out.
