Idea had reduced it by 45% before Airtel announced a cut of 67%. But just now saw news that Idea also reduced it’s data plan again to 67% to match Airtel. Idea stocks also tanked because of this news. Now have to wait & see for the cost of different plans of Jio.

Jio (of Mukesh Ambani) is not yet commercially launched.
That plan is of RCom 4g (of Anil Ambani)
Today I recharged Airtel Rs. 225 3G plan in which offer is 2GB internet(1gb day+1gb night) but got 3GB 3G (1.5gb+1.5gb)

Let’s wait for the commercial launch as Jio is very aggressively targeting the high end ARPU customers of Airtel & other telecoms postpaid customers. They will release different set of plans & they will provide a better plan to counter attack the reduction in data cost by Airtel & Idea. Ambanis won’t sit quietly when they have invested such huge amounts of money. They already made a masterstroke by providing Jio sims to high end mobile users of Samsung & Apple.

I almost make bill of around 900 every month in my Vodafone postpaid and that is without any internet services. I would love to explore RJio if I can really get benefited out of it because now I need 4G also on my that no.

Call services from Jio has to improve a lot as there are frequent disconnections. I have tried at different places but still not able to talk for more than 5 minutes before it gets disconnected.
Vodafone?

Oh no, then I need to take their prepaid sim card only for 4G as I was facing this issue (unclear voice and frequent disconnection) with my earlier operator too.

Data connectivity is very good & voice connection is ok but only problem is with call getting disconnected. Don’t know whether this issue is happening to most of them or at certain cities only due to huge traffic as calls are unlimited.

I too was a little taken aback when i heard “Lines are busy” for the first time on Jio. Now as it is still free and as it is in trial stage, people won’t complain much but after the commercial launch, they can’t afford to have bad press & reviews. They have to improve their call services as it is the first and foremost basic service.
still their prices are high, they are selling data like gold.
Hope Jio will completely damage these all telecome operator and will keep plans cheap, also include truly unlimited plan pricing 2k or 3k.

Airtel spoiled the entire market and Vodafone and idea were following like puppets.
Actually Indian telecom was going through a great phase untill Mr. Raja (telecom minister) shook everything, else things would be different today.
