I completely agree Airtel sucks. But what about Vodafone?? They are deducting 5-20rs every week. When I ask reason they say you opted this service at 4Am or you clicked on some pop-up at 3-4AM. Man!! I was sleeping that time. So I stopped calling them and even Recharging that Vodafone no. Using for Internet only now. Internet is good as compared to other operators.
Reliance – Poor internet/ frequently Balance deduction.
Aircel – less network coverage.
Idea – not so good internet/call dropping.

Where to go man. I’m fed up now.

I have to use four Sims for different purpose.
Airtel for local or interruption free calls (at Least no interruption for me)
Vodafone for net.
Aircel for STD calls.

Porting from Vodafone, their network su**s too. Same story with every service provider. Any good service provider in Delhi?

I have used all the providers. Airtel always keep on increasing prices / monthly bills .. they just send SMS and from next month your monthly bill will be bla-bla but no improvement in the services.

3 months ago moved to Voda ( again ). I had been with Voda since beginning for about 7 years and they were the best at that time. Very good network.. good customer care etc. Now they have JOKERS in customer care. They donno basic things.. I had 3 times fights at their voda store as the people there even did not know basic things and was making customers fools. It is really hard to talk while in Metro.. call drop every minute.

Moral of the story, like political parties, we have to choose from 3-4 providers and all of them sucks big time. These telecom companies are earning HUGE but are not interested in improving coverage, getting better infrastructure and improving customer care.

3G-4G is toooooooooooooooo costly. Telecom/broadband are SUPER SHIT even in metropolitan cities like Delhi. and we are SUPER Power in IT. My Foot.. Connectivity is so poor … so costly that is very difficult to open Data centers . IT Superpower.. when even the basic things are not good. Even Pakistan has better infrastructure. Pakistan had number porting even several years ago than it was introduced in India.

MNC — Airtel Bloody Shits

I purchased an Add On Number 95000 27948 and the address was verified by your airtel staff and told that ur house was locked sir and I checked ur presence with the Tea Shop and your neighbours also. Then my number was activated. Now suddely they cut the incoming and outgoing without any SMS or phone confirmation.

Then I called 121 and they told u have pay the some amount. And I paid some Rs.550 without seeing the bills. Again the calls are active for one week. After that yesterday night onwards no incoming and outgoing was barred without any notifications.

Now, customer care people are telling that the address was negative……………………….How dare it is updated like after getting the amount of Rs.550/ and confirmed by SMS that u have paid and enjoy your talking.

Now i want the incoming and outgoing should be released within 24 Hrs.Otherwise I will put the consumer case forum in the websites.

Very poor response.See I purchased 99400 27948 and using this number for the past 5 years only in the same address. There is no address verification is required.Further I have given my PAN Card and Post Paid Bill documents and paying correctly and Airtel also appreciated many times and my credit limit is Rs.5000 now.

Now u see, what can i do for u further?Tell Me…………… ……………………….Further,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, What is ur expectation from the Customer????????

I bet u will be tired fighting Airtel, but they won’t move an inch.
I have a very bad personal experience with airtel.
fought for almost 9 months and afterwards their appellate replied, “sir, u can port ur number to other network as we currently don’t have any plan for your site”
N finally I ported to Idea.
N I am very satisfied with it.
Even I have Vodafone, using internet on both .
Never faced any issue.
1 year has passed successfully .

In those old airtel days , I felt like slapping that Sunil Mittal for defrauding customers by saying airtel the beat network.

Maximum call drops, slowest internet.
Poorest network coverage.
(It works only in advertisements)

Advise to u is to port asap to bring calmness to ur mind.
Sooner you will port, better it would be….

@B@R_0_0_D G, this is the first I am observing your wrath against some one and that too Airtel and y not, u r their prestige customer subscribed to 951-/ 4G pack. I can understand ur frustration and the problems u r facing in continuing ur passion ( posting & tagging and access to emails) and not able to receive OTPs and automated calls ( Do u still receive ?? https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif )

Did they asked ur alternativ contact number because even for petty issues every network operator ask for one irrespective of ur problem. Did they give any service request/ complaint / reference number ???
With that number u can escalate the issue to the highest authority concerned.

In my case, because of 4G I subscribed to their postpaid my family plan. As i I know one thing that if ur monthly bill reaches the given credit limit, then ur services will get barred. I made the payment after due date and my services got barred without receiving any notifications. My payment was not updated in their system. It is only when I realised and sent them strong worded email to their customer support team threatining them (sort of dhamki https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_biggrin.gif) and within few minutes, my services were restored and late payment charges of 100-/ was waived off.
No service provider is good and especially Bharti Airtel. Instead of improving their services, they are expanding their networks to different continents. In Africa they are ‘Vodafofone of India’ https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_biggrin.gif
They only care about sales and balance sheets.

Try porting https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

Agree. I still have 7-8 nos in my family with Vodafone but I never faced any issue with them, this time their tower has been removed from my nearby area and now I’m facing network issues. They send their engg’s twice at my place to figure out a way to fix it but they realized it’ll take time to setup a tower after getting a space for that.

So the engg’s suggested me to move to different service provider for 3-4 months till the issue is over and they will let me know so that I can port back to Vodafone. I never had issues with Vodafone and probably I’ll port back to them once the network issues are gone. For the time being and my hate with Airtel and their stupid policies, I submitted port out request to Idea cellular today. Hope I can manage with Idea network till than.

Idea is better than airtel..but if you still have issues then they will not be able to solve network issues no matter whatever you do.as soving it requires setting up new towers and other devices which is quiet costly.

Bharti Airtel opens ups network information to customer via online interface

@wtf

The new interface, which uses geospatial tools and other technologies for accurate reporting of network coverage, will display Airtel’s mobile network coverage or signal strength across India.
NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel, India’s largest telecom carrier said that it has opened up its entire mobile network information to its customers through an interactive online interface, called Open Network, under Project Leap, its national network transformation initiative, which is seeing an investment of Rs 60,000 Crores over the next three years.

The new initiative will be supported by a 360 degree advertising campaign, conceptualized by Taproot-Dentsu.

The new interface, which uses geospatial tools and other technologies for accurate reporting of network coverage, will display Airtel’s mobile network coverage or signal strength across India in addition to network site deployment status.

“Open Network is a paradigm shift in the way we engage with our customers. With this initiative, we are establishing complete transparency with regards to our mobile network and opening ourselves to customer scrutiny and feedback,” Gopal Vittal, MD & CEO (India and South Asia), Bharti Airtel said.

“Today, getting permissions to put up a network site is perhaps the biggest challenge in delivering a seamless experience to customers. We hope customers will actively come forward and help us make our network better,” he said.

The interface will allow customers to check if the Airtel mobile network in an area is excellent, good, moderate or non-existent, along with the status of corresponding sites serving the area – existing, required, being upgraded or forcibly shut down.

The new interface, which will be available on airtel.in/opennetwork and myAirtel app starting tomorrow, will also allow customers to report their network related issues in an easy fashion.

In addition, customers can also contact the Airtel call centre or walk into any of the Airtel Flagship Stores across the country to report their network related issues, the company said in a statement.

All Airtel call centres and flagship stores have been specially equipped with solutions based on the new interface to respond to network related issues.

“I also want to thank the Hon’ble Telecom Minister for his proactive approach towards addressing the misplaced concerns around mobile radiation and supporting the industry’s requirement for site locations,” Vittal added.

Airtel is also deploying a range of innovative technology solutions including small cells, indoor solutions, wi-fi hotspots and carrier aggregation technologies to improve network experience inside buildings. Over the next three years, it plans to deploy over 1, 00,000 such solutions.

Further, the telco plans to cumulatively deploy more than 550,000 Kms of domestic and international fiber to improve customer experience and serve the growing demand of data services for years to come.

Airtel is swapping its legacy networks and base stations with smaller, more compact and efficient technologies that will significantly improve customer experience.

During Financial Year ended March 2016, Airtel invested over Rs 15,000 crores across India towards deployment of over 88,000 sites. This is the largest network deployment anywhere in the world outside of China, the telco claimed.
