Ifb or bosch both are good
Sansui and many other provides 2/4 years + 10 years on motor
IFB I think is 4 years +10 on spares support
I have one from Videocon must be like 25+ years now and still running .
Who is taking care of videocon’s warranty since they are out of the game.
Thanks for the replies. Appreciated.
If you are going for a machine with inverter technology, the chances of motor getting damaged are very remote. That’s the reason they give you 10 year kind of warranty on motor, applies the same for inverter technology refrigerators too. Mind you, the board that is responsible for running the motor is not covered in that 10 year thing, it comes under electronics. On the electronics/spares, it changes from manufacturer to manf. I will leave this to your preferences. So do not fall for those motor warranty period numbers, take them with a pinch of salt.
The current one I own is an IFB, as some of the users suggested, it had a 4 years full warranty. I wanted to check if there are other brands with more years coverage.
I am aware these appliances are planned with obsolescence, the door sensor malfunctioned exactly on the 49th month ( next month after 4 years warranty expired ), bought a spare from amazon and fixed it myself. The shock absorbers gave up after 2 months, bought that from ali express and replaced it.
Now the drain pump stopped working, I cannot find a replacement part for that, so booked an appointment with IFB and waiting for them to come over and quote the repair charges. If its too much, I might go for a new IFB since it comes with 4 years.
Also to mention, the mainboard failed during the warranty period, but they replaced it free of charge. I am expecting these appliances to last 4 -5 years only.
IFB with 4 years of comprehensive warranty and 10 years support for their parts.
IFB is good.
