Are pens being sold at higher MRPs online to show greater discounts?

I purchased Cello Trimate Jar Blue Ball Pen (Pack of 25) from Flipkart – MRP mentioned was/is ₹150. There was an sticker applied on jar, mentioning all the details of product and the same ₹150 MRP. But when the sticker was removed, the original label was showing Price ₹125. I tried in market – and each pen was costing ₹5 (amounting ₹125 for 25 pens).
Though the final price I paid was ₹83, (using some offers), aren’t these sites manipulating us by showing wrong MRPs and Heavy discounts? I have felt such MRP discrepancy mostly in stationary section. Have you faced any such things? What should be done?

How can we say that sticker was pasted by amazon or flipkart ?
Sometime manufacturers themselves paste stickers to revise the MRP .
Why pen? Almost everything….Actual cost 50rs…Show MRP as 100rs then 50% Discount! Finally Sold at actual price….. Consumer be like “Arey wah, main sikander”
In review of one product, I found someone saying that the actual MRP mentioned on the pack is different than what’s shown on Flipkart. I needed the product and couldn’t find it locally. Placed an order and there was difference in MRPs (no sticker was applied). I raised complaint against the seller – Flipkart refunded the money, and blocked the seller. This one case about pens – I bought one year back and today itself, I got to know about the scenario. Why should we not raise complaints against them, or is it ok to revise the MRP with such stickers?
So, can they sell the product after applying diff. label over older mrp and mfd? I was curious to know if that’s legal? If yes – my complaints will not have any legit point to stand.
all simple things you can buy offline… i dnt think it is necessary to order pen, pencil rubber online 
for sending 125rs pen, they need courier charges of atleast 80-100rs, so they do all this things
Overall price was cheaper with free delivery in sale – but yes, one can get them cheaper from local market other days. Kg+ : ) main query was about mrp changes, which acc to @saymyname78 is legal in someway.
I am not supporting MRP tinkering by sellers, But do let me know about these points:
According to you what should be the selling price for this product? if seller has to pay 5% + some fixed fee to Flipkart (It will be 20-30 for this item) , 10-20 Rs as packing charges and 65-90 Rs as shipping/courier charges depending on location/distance
And it is good that Flipkart has blocked the seller, Now nobody else will be able to buy this product (as the product is not available locally as well at your place). I believe sellers should stop selling such items (with less price) online. Let buyers suffer and buy them offline only.
I felt bad when the seller got blocked, and I only wanted the MRP diff refunded back, but the customer care executive said that the seller did a mistake and they will bear this. One thing I thought could be done was – add option of min. 3/4/5 qty req. to order (already on amazon) or mentioning original mrp and add delivery charges to it. But delivery charge itself works as repellent to many customers. So can’t say, what would be appropriate for them 🤷🏻♂️.
[The one who got blocked was selling product worth ₹255 MRP at ₹445 + ₹42 delivery charge and mentioned it’s MRP ₹900 on Flipkart. He got blocked. The other one related with pens hasn’t suffered anything, as I raised complaint and CC said – we’ve sent feedback to seller – guess what, it’s sold by retailnet.]
