This is bad news for Jio unless they are somehow able to make money off of these subscribers. Also bad news for Jio existing users because of the strain the new users will put on the network. Already my Jio network speed and call quality has degraded drastically over the last 6 months. I am willing to bet atleast 50% of those that moved has very low ARPU. Many moved thinking they wouldnt have to pay more everymonth because Jio offers free calls and they can keep SIM active or those people who use it only for OTP and other stuff like Dimers. Atleast in other networks you pay 23 per month and keep sim active. Jio, I am not sure if it offers the same plan. If I am not wrong the least plan they have is 98. So benefits for AirTel and other networks where they dont have to maintain low revenue generating connections and can concentrate on quality of service and cater to customers who does make them money. Jio cannot forever offer freebies as they also are running a business and have to make money at one point.

Like Apple and Android, Android may be the market leader. But Apple is where the money at.

1. misguiding title, " Only Telcos to Add " can this be written in better way, even other telcos must have added few but lost many
2. inconsistant numbering system in artical – crore, lakhs, million
