Axis bank fraud call

hi i need help regarding a fraud call, i am not sure yet.
my friend got this call claiming to be from axis bank and they offer credit card limit increase.
after that they ask for otp which come like this
xxxxxx is the OTP for availing Axis Bank Credit Card. Valid for 5 mins. Please do not share with anyone.
now my friend already have acc in axis along with credit card.
there is no transaction on any card neither any allert on cibil.

Have confirm from axis bank too that no new credit card is issued under this pan.
So what exactly was this does anyone else faced it. Please help.

No OTP required for limit increament in Axis CC.
So avoid such calls/sms.
They might be from BankBazaar or Paisa bazaar and trying to initiate a new cc application , just complete their targets. It can be case,not sure.
Also try to share the number of that caller.

See the above case. The website is look-alike to axis credit card application site but its totally fake. This is a genuine fraud. Be careful.

As far as I know, there is no OTP required for credit limit increase (atleast in case of HDFC and SBI). No experience with Axis (for credit limit) so other dimers may share something.
If OTP was not shared, it’s all good.
Disable international and OTP less transactions for safety, for now.
