Axis Ace Credit Card Devaluation Effective From : 20 April
Axis Ace Credit Card Devaluation
Ace CC will fetch 1.5% instead of 2%.
- All transactions made using ACE Axis Bank Credit card, except the transactions made on GPay, Preferred Merchants and cashback excluded categories, will earn a base cashback of 1.5%.
- Cashback will not be applicable on utility spends done on platforms other than GPay.
Effective from : 20 April

Revision in Credit Card Domestic Airport Lounge Access Program
We would like to update you regarding a change to the domestic lounge access feature on your Credit Card:
• Effective 1st May 2024, access to domestic airport lounges will be based on a minimum eligible spend
of Rs. 50,000 in the previous 3 calendar months. *
• In the case of a newly issued card, the minimum spend criteria is waived for the month of card
issuance as well as for the following 3 calendar months. *
Please note that an upgrade to a different card product will not be considered as new card issuance.
However, a card issuance, in addition to the card you hold, will be considered as new card issuance. *
• You can check spends from your billed transactions in previous 3 calendar months, available through
Net Banking and Mobile Banking App, open
• Upon spending the necessary amount in all the above scenarios, you will be eligible for the
complimentary lounge accesses available on your Credit Card. The number of complimentary visits
and the specific lounges you are eligible for, will depend upon the Card you hold. For more details,
please click here.
• The spend based criteria is waived for Burgundy Private Credit Card, RESERVE Credit Card, and
ATLAS Credit Card

This comes alongside credit card companies reducing benefits like lounge access and cashback. It seems like these companies are pushing users away from using cash or debit cards, which offer fewer incentives.
This is a worrying trend. These companies spent heavily in the past to attract customers and build user habits. Now, after getting us hooked on their services, they're introducing extra charges. It's like Uber and Ola all over again. These ride-hailing services did the same thing, squeezing out traditional auto rickshaws and local transportation options. Now they're dominant players.
Are we sleepwalking into a situation where we have limited choices and pay more for basic services?

Just around a month back I returned by flipkart card for ACE, Now it's just useless as other cards of mine are giving me 1.5% on offline transactions.

I got the same doubt. For Ace/Freecharge plus/Airtel CC, how are they gonna differentiate between Gpay/Freecharge/Airtel thanks app utilities vs other platform utility payments.
Cashback depends on MCC. What if other apps/websites has the same MCC as Gpay/Freecharge/Airtel thanks app ?

-axis ace give 2%
-annual fees waiver for 2L
main use was 2% so it gave cashback even on txn value less then 100 for which other card dont , i wil close it next year this ACE as axis has left me with no other option
now it is as equal with TATA neu infinity 1.5% ,HSBC(Rs. 999 fees),sc smart 2%

Well, I envied this card and its holders, didn't get invite, but now it seems being an LTF neucard infinity holder with very generous limit, patience paid off (and old relation of hdfc), no regrets...
