Look up co2 bb guns. They are hard to come by. You can try in Heera Panna shopping center in Mumbai

In 1993 or 1994 there used to be few shops in Camp area, especially on M.G. Road (near Kayani Bakery) or on the side lanes near the petrol pump.. with kept reputed and good quality airguns (both pistol type small ones and the long barreled (rifle like) hun.
Actually there are good shops with reliable pistols snf guns for hobby purposes or sports use, in other localities too.
Mostly in the old, core areas like XYZ peth.
Do not know if forums like https://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php?t=5812 still have as many active members with fairly up-to-date knowledge or not.
Still it might be worth posting in such dedicated forums for gun enthusiasts.
The one my distant uncle bought for my second cousin
was probably from a shop owned or managed by a Zoroastrian (= Parsi) family i think.
It was more of a pistol like design.
Normal spring loaded mechanism which required re-loading the gun, each time a pellet was fired.
I recollect it lasted long and that is was of good make, because the little bugger (second cousin) had point blank shot at some plywood sheet (someone in the complex had furniture work going on) and the pellet drove through a 6-7 milimeter or thicker sheet.
The carpenters were perplexed till someone else went there and apologised, while informing the carpenters (about) who did it and how.
So you can look around Raviwaar Peth, Sadashiv Peth or ask around at Mahavir Sports for recommendations as to the reliable shops.
Or scour through camp area.

These sorta guns are expensive, also india has very strict rules regarding guns.
So check the rules and regulations before buying.

Air guns which are not 'lethal barrelled' (air guns with a muzzle energy of less than 20 joules and a caliber of 0.177 / 4.5mm or less do not require a license.
Even after the Arms Rules 2016 getting 'notified', some air guns can still be imported (and sold) without person specific licences and are not illegal to keep.
