planning to replace our old (10+ yrs) BPL automatic top load washing machine with a new one.
requirements:
1. 4 adults.daily or alternate day use, regular washing including bedsheets
2. prefer it to use less water compared to others,
3. shd not be very expensive (uber expensive detergents,. conditions on what to use how to use etc) to operate n maintain
4. longer guarantee / warranty for peace of mind
5. Priced as low as possible
6. would prefer clothes as dry as possible (higher rpm drying)
I don’t want to go for any AMC (like IFB) for peace of mind. I don’t want to blow up 30-40k either.
want it for a long duration n hence sturdy and reliable..
front load is tempting, but expensive.. tilting toward Marq front load at ~16-17k..
what do you guys suggest based on your experience??

फ्रंट लोड में पानी लीक नहीं होता?
top load – samsung has introduced new activ+ wash machines priced around 17k+ with 3 years product and 10 years motor warranty
Yes I will also vote for Samsung top load my previous one lasted 8/9 yr. New entrants have no reliability and they are cheaper because they will last only 4 yr. Had whirlpool and Panasonic previously which lasted just 4 yr each.
Lol
Fully automatic Washing machines uses too much detergents and water.
Water is slowly becoming scarce and detergents nowadays have become duds , due to discount fever, they are heavily mixed with fillers .
Surf excel and ariel quality has heavily deteriorated than what it used to be before.
So many different names and packaging just to confuse and fool customers.
how about rin washing powder
@santosh_blr out of the topic question. what do you mean by “AMC” in your sentence?
Annual Maintenance Contract
Santosh, You cannot go wrong with a Front Loader. They are the most economical of the washers.
I’ve also purchased a Bosch Front loader 6.5Kg during the amazon prime day festival. I got this for a cool ₹19,300/- after exchanging my existing LG 9KG Top loader which was a water guzzler. This is the 4th Washing machine in my family and the 2nd Front loader. The earlier one being a 5.5Kg Siemens.
I was myself contemplating whether to pickup a Marq or a Bosch. But the quality of Bosch & its brand assurance tilted me towards it. BTW, this is the 3rd Bosch appliance in my family in addition to my dishwasher & a refrigerator. I would urge you to pick up a Front loader for its efficiency as water is indeed more valuable than money itself.
Please also pickup AMC & factor that as a cost of the appliance. I see that as an Insurance as the machine will be run everyday.
Use a liquid soap for all washes & measure it when ever you pour it in the machine. I add only 30ml liquid for 1 cycle. Finally do maintenance every month this keeps the machine healthy & also your clothes fresh.
Buy Amazon Washing machine. 3k cheaper than others in all models
bosch is best
I am using IFB senator aqua sx 8kg front load machine which is superb
It does have 15 mins extra express wash mode which is really handy for me
Which model in Bosch ?
Wow, that’s a great deal. I don’t know when the next sale will come
You will get good deals on home appliances during dashera-diwali. Wait for a couple of months.
Thanks Buddy, I will wait. If you come across anything n between, please ping me. Really appreciate it.
1.) For 4 adults buy 7kg atleast.
2.) front load uses less water and less power.
3) I use top load washing powder in front load itself. Just make sure it is MATIC. Matic powder n liquid are cheap nowadays.
4)Don’t get amc in my opinion, Just make sure the floor is not inclined and machine doesn’t move while spinning(get this done while installation) at full load.
It’d work without any problem in most cases unless luck not on your side..
5.) I’ll say go with midea front load.Brought for relative last year. No complaint whatsoever. Marq is also not bad. Just thoroughly read reviews before buying sorted by latest rather helpful.
6.) Again drying/spinning is best in front load.
and best part is front load got heater inbuilt which is a must for indian dirt conditions.
Disc: I am using LG front load.
