Unless it is Apple one, I am curious which laptop it is. I only ask this since I have only seen apple ones this expensive.

Make 2.7 as 2.5 and consider 20k as money saving. 

You can try getting a student discount if it's Apple's main site. For other vendors like aptronix etc try getting GST input and claim it you can save 18%.

I don't suggest you buy on Amazon as most of them are returned stuff. I won't say refurbished but not sealed ones.

better tell him to buy offline... nowadays buying stuff more than 50k is risky as if anything goes wrong its a big headache for return/replacement or refund..
