Customers in India Can Now Reverify their Mobile Connection With Aadhaar by Just Calling Toll-Free Number 14546

Finally, telecom operators have implemented one of the new methods proposed by UIDAI to verify your mobile connection with Aadhaar. Telecom operators today rolled out the much-anticipated OTP based IVRS linking method, which removes the hassle for users to visit the operator’ store to link the mobile number with Aadhaar. All they need to do is calling 14546 from the yet-to-be-linked mobile number.
So, if you’re looking to link your mobile number with Aadhaar with the new IVRS method, here’s how you can do it.
1) Dail 14546 from your mobile phone and wait for the IVR voice.
2) Once the call gets connected, you will be asked to select the language. Select language as per the instructions.
3) Now, you will be directed to enter the Aadhaar number. Once after you entering the Aadhaar number, telecom operator will send the Aadhaar details entered by you to UIDAI for verification.
4) Once verified, you will receive an OTP, which you need to enter during the call itself. After entering the OTP, the call can be disconnected. After that, you will receive a confirmation SMS.
That’s it; there’s no need to visit any operators store like earlier. Following this method, I have linked my Airtel postpaid number with Aadhaar in just two minutes. Vodafone also confirmed that its subscribers could reverify their mobile connections with Aadhaar using this new IVRS method.
Digital India’s official Twitter handle also tweeted the same. “#DigitalIdentity service made easy | @UIDAI (Aadhaar) has issued directives for generating OTP either through the service provider’s website or through the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) services to facilitate the linking, also known as reverification,” read the tweet from Digital India.
Going by the tweet from Digital India, mobile subscribers can also generate OTP through a telecom operator’s website if you have an active internet connection handy. To be noted, when I tried to link one of other Airtel prepaid number with Aadhaar, the toll-free call didn’t connect. This might be due to heavy rush from all the subscribers across the country.
Recently, the Rajya Sabha confirmed that over 700 million subscribers have already linked their mobile number with Aadhaar. The last date for reverifying mobile connection with Aadhaar is March 31, 2018, after the recent deadline extension.

Found info regarding the same in the DoT website dated 15th June! http://www.dot.gov.in/accessservices/use-aadhaa.... Point no. 11 is interesting as it mentions the no. of connections in the subscribers name operator-wise. This will only be applicable for Aadhaar verified ones obviously.
P. S. Visited Airtel Store yesterday and they still have not received any direction regarding outstation subscribers.
