I am eyeing buying xuv 300 or grand vitara(strong hybrid) with credit card. any car suggestion is welcome.

I think they will not take more than 5L using cc without charges

I can use

hdfc  tata neu rupay(above 8 lakh limit) for upi ----will it get me neucoins?

hdfc diners black --but then i cant use neu card(joint limit)

axis ace 1.5L lakh limit

icici apay -4 lakh limit

cards i hold  idfc select/simplyclick/amex mrcc/indusind legend/axis flipkart

bought vitara brezza zxi+ with lifetime road tax + insurance for 1420000(approx.) petrol mild hybrid manual transmission.

Only one model was left with the hybrid engine.(Maruti removed it from new models)

IDFC select 2% (300000) amazon voucher (approx 6k)

hdfc neu card(sbi pos machine diners didnt work) (885000) 1.5% neucoins(13275)

axis ace (225000) --2% cashback() (4500)

hdfc neu card upi (11000) advance -1.5% neucoins (165)

approx 24k savings😄 not a single penny charged as fees.had to negotiate hard.

I think no dealer will allow this big payment with credit card....unless they charge 2 percent...Same happened with me when buying jewelry, scooty and Laptop.

Interesting question.

I believe UPI payment with Rupay card should be possible but check what's limit.

Most important thing is you should have amount in your bank account for payment of those Credit card bills before Due Date.

Else paying with EMI, balance transfer via credit card will be definitely more costly than getting card Loan.

Just for some Reward Points you will be in loss.

On Tata Neu Infiniti card you get 1.5 % in UPI payments.

XUV 300 is best, go for it.

Go for a Car Loan instead of Full Payment. ( You are getting a cheap loan @ 9/10 %) Use that money to make more money. 😉

1. If you are salaried, check if your company has a vehicle leasing policy, which can help you to save taxes.

2. If you are in business, Loan and Car is definitely going to save your taxes as depreciation and expenses.

My cousin was also checking cars below 20 Lakh budget.

If below 15 Lakh then get Nexon 2nd Top variant

If 15 to 20 Lakh then get Toyota Hyryder mild hybrid.

He got Nexon XZ+ for 12.5

nexon is good but doesn't look like suv more like a hatchback so a big no

I am getting breaza mild hybrid manual as driver will drive. @ 14 lakh approx on road for zx+ top model

xuv300 top model without tgdi for 14 lakh also.

is strong hybrid worth the cost if i drive yearly 10k km approx

toyota hyrider strong hybrid

edit 1: toyota hyrider/maruti grand vitara  not worth it because sunroof has no sun protection and boot space is gone due to battery in strong hybrid.

brezza looks more better now than xuv 300

CC on UPI won't work. Txn limit is 1L per day.

As others have mentioned, check if the dealer would accept CC payment first. Even I am in the process of buying a car, and I was quoted 1.6% for payment by credit card.

dealer has said zero charges for cc payement, reduced insurance by around 15k(send acko screenshot ,they will reduce it),

removed unwanted addons and warranty for maruti brezza light hybrid manual(that too only 1 left in stock)

DCB is best bet. 3.33% returns in form of points. Plus 1K Vouchers for 80K monthly spends. Plus any other spend based reward.

If you can spread the payment in 2 parts and pay half in July and other half in Aug, you will get the 1K voucher for Aug too.

Tata neu has 50k limit per month for UPI reward points. Check this once. Idfc select has accelerated rewards beyond certain amount..I don't recollect. Check it yourself.

I have used IDFC Wealth. Charged 1.5% extra by showroom.

Grand Vitara/Hyryder are one segment above than Brezaa, Nexon, XUV300. It is bigger, spacious.

Not sure about current prices, waiting period but few months ago base version was going for 12.8 Lakh. Base version had many good to have features.

Mild hybrid is ok as it also gives good mileage of 19-20. Strong hybrid 25-28.
These are real life figures.

For low running of < 1500 km/Month i think mild hybrid is ok.

Also I disagree that Nexon looks like hatchback, it looks more SUV than any in it's class. If you drive on bad roads , it is much better than any. My cousin in current monsoon has to use it in high water levels as well.
