Thanks especially for the DIY idea
Get it charged externally, approach a trusted battery technician. Your best bet would be a local repair person dealing with inverters/batteries. Check if it will suffice. A few repair folks does discharge test to see it’s really holding charge.
If nothing works, buy a battery of similar rating from a manufacturer of your choice. You can also trade your old battery for certain percentage discount
Thank you
Is this a petrol car or diesel?
How many kms have you driven your car?
Which brand battery are you using ?
Is it more than 4 years old?
It’s Petrol, swift lxi , km are 30k , it’s original battery from maruti, have to check the battery model. Car bought in 2015
Buy Exide / Amaron from local shops.
Exide Milage 35Ah battery will cost abt 3600. Exide Matrix will be about 4200. Warranty 60m & 66months respectively.
Disconnect Autocop if fitted – if your car is not running regularly. It consumes battery in idle condition.
PS. Your local dealer will give fixed 800-1000 exchange value for your old battery.
Thanks for the approx cost of batteries
I am based in Pune but currently on diwali vacation in indore

Stay away from Exide. Their quality has gone for a toss from last few years. I would recommend Amaron batteries. Amaron batteries are very durable and the quality is miles ahead than exide . You can get the battery replace through a battery dealer such as Amaron pitstop. You should also get a few hundred rupees for your old battery.
Another option is, order the battery through Batterybhai.com .they usually deliver the battery the same day and they would also help you install it. Prices on Batterybhai website is reasonable.
I also found amaron better than exide
Buy Amron only. Stay away from Exide. Personal experience on multiple vehicles.
Service of Amron is good one. I replaced my Diesel Cars battery few weeks back. Replace locally. It’s cheaper than online and installation will be done by mechanic. They even exchange old battery(Additional 500-700less cost)
Amron is best, purchase from any retail outlet and any garage can fix it for a very small price. I always do the same.
Thanks all for your help. Today got the battery replaced.
Total cost: 3500 (inclusive rebate for old battery and replacement was free from dealer)
Battery details: Amaron 36B20L Hi Life FLO Car Battery, Warranty: 55 Months, Capacity: 35 Ah

If it’s working this is great option for everyone. Good to get more reviews on this service
Exide or amaron. Buy the latest manufacturing date product. Ask around a few shops in your locality to get a good idea about the best price they can offer.
You can install it yourself with a plier. Just be a bit careful and don’t be scared of some sparks (wear some gloves if you are afraid). Make sure the terminals are connected properly.
