Indian Covid-19 test kit production scaled up to lower imports
Pune-based Mylab Discovery Solutions has increased its manufacturing capacity from 20,000 coronavirus disease (Covid-19) tests a day in early April to 200,000 tests now, after tying up with Serum Institute of India (SII) Ltd.
Thus far, Mylab Discovery Solutions has supplied 650,000 tests to 140 labs and hospitals in close to 20 states.

Start local trains in Mumbai: Uddhav to PM
*Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray on Monday asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to show “specific and concrete direction” on the ongoing lockdown.
A CMO official quoted Thackeray saying this during Modi’s virtual interaction with chief ministers on Monday.
“Show us specific and concrete direction on lockdown, the states will implement the same,” an official statement quoted Thackeray as telling the prime minister.
The statement said Thackeray also requested Modi to start local trains in Mumbai for essential services staff working in the city. — PTI*
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said coronavirus cases are expected to peak this month or in June and even July. “I’ve read Wuhan is seeing a second wave of cases, even WHO has warned about this. So I suggest that any action on lockdown must be taken cautiously,,” Mr Thackeray said, news agency ANI reported. He said local trains in Mumbai should be started for those in essential services.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said the lockdown should continue for two more weeks as easing it would make people take the highly infectious disease lightly. “We have to be careful in opening interstate movement and it should be kept to the minimum,” the Chief Minister said. He said there should be gap of at least one week between every train movement to Assam.

COVID-19 positive army jawan commits suicide
An army jawan infected with coronavirus was on Tuesday found hanging from a tree at the premises of a hospital in New Delhi where he was being treated, police said.
The 31-year-old jawan was suffering from lung cancer. He was being treated at the military-run Base Hospital here.
His sample was taken for COVID-19 test and the results came as positive, they said.
The jawan, a native of Maharashtra, was posted at Itarana Cantt in Alwar district of Rajasthan, police said.

In community transmission, After an asymptomatic person walks by an area, he exhales his virus in the air. After how many minutes can another person walking by that area inhaling that virus can get infected?
2 Any additional precaution to take when we are in stage 3? Compared to when we were in stage 2?

Yeah i read the HT article too and was pretty excited to see some positive news. They said it’s being tested on patients with mild to moderate symptoms and the rate of improvement is up to 88%, did they not?
Anyway, I’m looking for some surgical head protector type of thing to wear on my head (just went near-bald today) for outside visits, where to get them from, I mean the good ones? All those surgical cap available on Amazon or FK say they are shite products and can’t protect you from the virus, so any idea?
