My question is why?
Gist Fani made Landfall in Puri, Odisha on 3rd of May, 2019. Some newspaper said it made landfall in West Bengal. Then they apologized and rectified the mistake, Times of India was one of them. PM did not say single word of a sympathy on or before 3rd of May, 2019. He was busy campaigning for his political party.
Fani’s highest speed was 250 kmph on the sea. Which makes it just shy of becoming a Cat 5 cyclone, i.e. aka Super Cyclone.
On Landfall its speed was 185kmph, some say it was above 200. Ok it became a Cat 3 storm. Puri has still not recovered from its wrath.
Amphan was also a devastating storm. Its speed was 190kmph aprox. Not here to do politics or to seek karma or votes on this post. I just wanna know the reason behind these kind of apathy. This is not a political post. This is a question of humanity and stupid me wants to know the reason

Bhai. Odia (people from Odisha) are among the most neglected people in India along with people from Assam, Mizoram, Nagaland etc.
But one good thing is our CM Mr Naveen Patnaik did a splendid job at disaster management.
BJD, the ruling party, did the charity works. BJP people came latter.
Most probably this happened, because it was election time. People were busy. And Modi Bhaiya knew that he ain’t getting any MLA seats from Odisha. Probably this is a reasonable argument.

I dunno if PM had said anything with his first handle but the second one is purely personal+political..he uses that to give missions to his followers like “Cho*****R” as part of his election campaign

Talking about Fani Cyclone
That cyclone was upgraded to category 1 on 29th April
and category 4 on May 2
and it did hit near Puri (orissa) on May 3rd afternoon
So it was not in category 4 or 5 since day 1
And the claim PM Modi just checked/tweeted on it only after hitting, is wrong
Regarding your claim that before 3rd may 2019 PM did not tweet, so just checked it my self and found these 2 tweets asking authorities to take precautionary measure

Also tweet or no tweet, things does not wait for tweet. Things goes on behind the social media, like in this case, many govt agencies, institutions like IMD , armed forces were already on alert for the same since the day they got hint. Check below -
“All the 880 cyclone centres besides 20 units of Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), 12 units of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and 335 fire units have also been put on alert, the officer said.”
Navy, Coast Guard ships and copters, NDRF teams deployed along east coast to deal with cyclone Fani. Indian Naval ships at Visakhapatnam and Chennai are standing-by to proceed to the most affected areas to undertake Humanitarian Aid Distress Relief (HADR), evacuation, logistic support including providing medical aid.

Well having said that i am surprised fellow dimers rather than correcting some wrong facts are just going in flow to do politics without caring for facts. May be they are no party fans/haters 
so they enjoy/troll thing and never take such topic seriously 
. Neither do care right or wrong. Because it takes effort to do all these things
AND it is easy to pass comment rather than doing self research.
First buddy try to know right words for your states. It’s not Orissa, it’s Odisha. See, even at this level you failed to check the right thing.
Second thing, PM will not saying anything even after it becomes CAT 4 a day before landfall is unacceptable. And the way you tried to downplay it, is pathetic, the end result is the Storm became Cat 3/4 on landfall. So, that matters.
See, if PM and PMO have twitter handles, then it’s ethical to post something about a Cyclone, when the Cyclone becomes a Category 4 on May 2nd. He knew it. You ll say, he was a busy person, I would have understood. I am not saying you gave any wrong facts. Navy n Disaster management team did their job. FYI, Odisha might be poor, but Odisha has the best disaster management team in the entire nation. You gonna see that thing in a recent tweet made viral, where Naveen was trying to do Namaste yet Modi was keen on doing a handshake.
So, where was I? Modi failed to update on Twitter, why? Because he was busy, busy in campaigning for a political rally? That’s very insensitive of him. Now, pray tell me, has he ever failed to do so? Some flood happens, Modi says those sweet words to them. Something happen in some part of world, he manages to put a good word. If this what you want to say that PM does not need to speak for it., ok, Manmohan Singh also kept his mouth shut. In this logic nobody should make fun of his quiet demeanor.
I quite understand what you are saying. Yet you failed to make understand, behind the apathy towards Odisha, while doing other political stuff for party, when Odisha was being ravaged? Why should I choose him as a PM?
