My local dentist now charged me 10k for RCT plus cap. 1.5 years back it was 8k. After covid all basic cost shooting up. Although doctor has 25 yr plus experience and v gud. What are treatment cost in your area

Yup after covid everything is costly supply chains disruptions caused raw materials hike decreased business means more prices in service industry
My left wisdom teeth had not erupted vertically & it caused decaying in molar teeth due infection. I started feeling sharp pain suddenly in the impacted teeth. The dentist took a digital X-ray & advised me to get the wisdom teeth extracted first. They charged me Rs5000 for extraction, Rs4000RCT & Rs8000 for crown, I chose Zirconia which fully ceramic plus very long lasting. They offer 10 years warranty on it. You can choose lower variant which made of metal with ceramic coting. RS2500~4000 is normal for RCT. I don’t know why your dentist charging 10K just for RCT. The whole took almost 2 weeks in my case.

2k rtc 2k cap. But rtc was painful. 
That is the reasonable but towards higher side price.
Seems margins being kept by doctor or the clinic.
The denture making, cap msking business is handled by freelancer or third party technicians/ experts… businesses who provide the cap/ dentures to these dentists (for the patients of the dentists).
Root canal is always or almost always very distractingly painful unless gums are in good health ➕ they did not dig too much to recover broken fragments of tooth ➕ general health and fitness of the persin can properly absorb/ use the pain killer medications.
Everything is costly post covid……everything priced more than few months

3k to 5 k rct are running rates.
Cap charges are very depending upon which type you choose ( steel – ceramic etc etc)
2 years back i paid Rs .200 for normal teeth removal for my mother and 300 for wisdom tooth removal . I referred my neighbour to the doctor for root canal treatment and he charged somewhat 1500 or less and don’t remember about charges of caps . Pre covid era he upscaled his charges for wisdom tooth to 500 as he bought a new clinic in the vincity .
At one other place within a distance i was charged 1500 for normal teeth removal.
It all depends on the area the clinic is , and how big upper class clientage directory they have .
All the three doctors are genius nothing less , but charges vary heavily.
Can someone here from Thane, Maharashtra, suggest me some good budget dentist in or near Thane.
Have pain & soreness in right jaw.
Also need to get filling done some tooth.

Don’t cheap out on crowns. Crowns range from porcelain, PFM to Zirconia. Zirconia ones are very strong and comes with a 10 year warranty. And in case you want more rigidity then opt for gold crowns and they cost a lot of money.
Gold is stronger than zircon??
