Do you know the reason why big tech companies in India not directly having any consumer / social apps for public use?
There seems to be plenty of space for such companies to replace many existing consumer apps from the west.

It would be very good for our country to increase GDP, if these big already established companies from India or a subsidiary of them starts B2C apps.
At the moment for everyday apps and digital services we have to depend on the west.
Since these big tech companies already have the infrastructure and “the goodwill and trust” from our citizens, it would be much easier for us to migrate to it with out having thoughts about data leak etc.

ICICI/ Bank of india/Modern banks kotak etc run on this software
Axis bank and American express too 
Consumer app space is highly evolved with tons of innovation and features. Their B2B apps are primarily for banking sector and organizations where it’s functions are is to streamline operations to digital. They know their weaknesses and hence are staying out of this market
Its not just about the IT space. There are hardly any entrepreneurs in India. Most are just businessmen (there’s the difference). Almost everyone who has a product/solution will look for a shortcut to get huge money and sell off at the first instance.
They want investment+ assured revenue both are dynamic in b2c
Above all giants hv power to acquire these entities if they come don’t u remember Hike Messenger who tried everything bt surrender at the end….if u know why this happened u hv the answer already….& This is a big lesson for these it firms to stay away from b2c based business…
Problem: we hv tendancy we don’t want to pay for what we use…
We, want everything bt free! We Are expert in finding loopholes & to encash the chance…(incase we r the maker on a payroll) we don’t allow any company to sell our data bt still giants are super rich entries isn’t?
Many of the apps you are using on your phone are built by these companies for other consumer companies
Direct consumer app do not suit the business model of IT services providers
These are service based companies, who are focused on B2B model. Their apps are used by Banks, Insurance companies, other companies
