If ur current Credit Limit is more that 3L in any one of the Axis Credit card, u call customer care and get Magnus (Without Cibil enquiry).
Axis allows only 3 cards. That is the reason i closed Freecharge Plus and got Magnus by calling Customer care.

Could you share if there was a time gap between the closure of the Freecharge card and getting the Magnus card? I got mine as 3rd card, so didn't have to close any but now I'm thinking to close one if a gap of a few months is required.

No gap required.
First settle the Total outstanding from the card which ur planning to close.
Wait for a couple days to get it reflected in the app and u can raise closing request by calling customer care or raising request (if u raise request in app or portal, u will receive call from Retention team in 1 or 2 days.)
Once they initiated closure from their end, card will disappear from the app in the same day or next day.
Then u can place a new card request thru customer care (Mostly paid cards they will issue happily, i think the person taking request from us will get some commission i think).
* The total characters in the address field in our profile should be 35 or less for this process. The executive whom i was talking at that time waited patiently, for me to edit the same in my app and raised the new card application.

Till before 2 months the Required credit limit in Existing Axis card is 3L.
Some are mentioning that from last month it has been increased to 4L, So before proceeding check on this.

Yeah, I have also heard that they've increased the limit to 4 Lacs. I have Magnus which was upgraded as the 3rd card in Dec last year but I'm thinking to close another and get a new card.
