If your monthly spends are above 1L, then go for Axis magnus

If you've DCB I believe it must be of some good limit. So, I advice you not close this as it might impact your credit score and credit history.

AFAIK HDFC not offering LTF cards now. If you've other cards, how about downgrading to moneyback plus?

HDFC don't report credit limit....so your point of it having good credit limit is useless

I heard that we can't upgrade from DCB to Infinia. Is it true?

DCB is total waste in comparison to Infania/Magnus. Yes it is better than other hdfc card except infania but it is not worth 10K + GST anymore.

I have hardly made any transaction since last 6 months- since it is LTF and i am still holding else would have closed by now

Guys I have regalia, do the reward points expire or should I keep accruing. I have around 40k points. What to do suggest. Points to Cash redemption ratio is very bad

@Abhinav_Pune close the paid DCB if you do not intend to spend much with it. I have a similar infinia which I am keeping only as its LTF for me, otherwise I am very rarely using it nowadays. Though it was a heavily used card last year with all that smartbuy and other offers going on.

You might want to try to see features of millennia cc, even with the devaluations it might be useful for 5% CB on its partners, still working for all txns on amazon. If you need lounge features with a good forex rates regalia might seem good too.

I have DCB as LTF, does it make sense to upgrade to paid Infinia?

In the same situation. I have a LTF DCB. However, now only the metallic variant of Infinia is available, which is not LTF.

I do not want to give up my LTF DCB. Checked for Infinia as an Add-on card, but my RM told me that requires a 12+ limit to hold both. So going for DCB in the meanwhile.

If you can't look forward to redeeming reward points on travel then ofcourse no travel or reward  card makes sense. Neither Infinia nor DCB nor magnus or vistara Infinite or even Amex plat for that matter.

Might as well stick to some 5% cashback card.

Infinia stopped dth recharge from points. I'll still keep the infinia.. As I have it LTF and smartbuy 5x on Amazon vouchers. Plus all transactions earn effective 3.3% rewards.

Redeeming the points is now a question

Regalia First is a good card

HDFC has already stopped giving Regalia First and gives only Regalia. Check here: https://www.hdfcbank.com/personal/pay/cards/cre...

"We currently are not accepting new applications for Regalia First Credit
Card. However existing Regalia First Credit Card holders will continue
to enjoy the features/benefits on the card."

Hi there...I have received new DCB card last week. however, want to cancel and apply for regalia which is shown as approved in net banking for me. I have couple of queries...will there be any impact on credit score if cancelling the card...will HDFC acknowledge my new request for Regalia or they will deny.

I got an Infinia Metal edition last year and had other cards too. So, asked RM if they allow a downgrade as it had a good limit of above 10L and he said kindly drop a mail and would do it gladly. Regarding the credit score, I don't think it would change if it's a downgrade but if you're canceling DCB and applying for another Regalia it might make a hard inquiry which can impact the score for some time.

Is the regalia shown as an upgrade over the DCB in net banking? AFAIK, sometimes even the Indigo XL 6E card is also shown as an upgrade over Infinia.

Due to corona few middle class people dragged in to money rotation but professional money rotators never caught or they easily filed and flew from ITD net and lens

True. It's always the innocent middle class tax payers get caught.

Just now got upgraded to DCB (One Year Free) from Useless Indigo XL Card which was upgraded from Regalia one and Half Year Back . Now I see DIners Black reward points on Amazon & Flipkart vouchers are not even 10 percent . Only Infinia shows 5X rewards points. SO DCB is practically useless now.

So, I am not alone here. I also cancelled my diners black card in Dec 2022. Annual charges of 10000 + GST was not worth the benefits.

Waived off on annual spends of 5L.
