ebay htc one x scam or what ?

guys i just found various listings on ebay from various sellers of brand new htc one x 16gb @17k only they are claiming that the product is imported from usa/uk/uae and brand new. but the problem is that all the sellers who sell these kind of htc one s and one x belongs to kolkata, westbengal only and how this is possible for them to sell a brand new phone with hardware and software warranty at such low prices, i have also searched on ebay.com but was unable to find a brand new phone at this price so how they are able to import from usa at such a low price. please suggest me should i buy that or not.

there are many more listings of one s, one x 16gb and one x 32gb just search for htc one x on ebay and i have read one or 2 peoples feedback saying that the phone is old just the body is new but when i asked regarding this one of the seller he told me that the phone is brand new with the manufacturing date of march 2013 you can match the imei with the box of the phone.

Have heard the word refurbished? This is that only!
HTC mobiles are the most common phones in the import market.
There are 3 types of imported mobiles available in the market.
One is refurbished other is almost genuine and last one is original .
Refurbished mobiles are not that bad actually infact many companies in foreign countries sell refurbished phones at a very nominal price.
Almost genuines are the phones where you get original phone with not so genuine(duplicate) accessories.
Original ones are not very commonly available and reason for the same is we the buyers never want to pay the premium price so they the importers don’t bother importing those expensive ones to earn less margin and high headaches.
For example I got HTC One in march just days after its launch for 36k and that was an absolute original everything was original and now phone is launched here too and few months from now and that phone here we will get for not more than 20-22k but with a little un-originality. 
So a little advice do not buy imported phones if you never took the plunge into the world of no warranty or only software & seller warranty zones cos at times it can really hurt you big time. Imported phones are good for the people who are aware of its consequences and who know what they buying.
And about the manufacturing date and matching imei etc please do not fall for that trap cos all those stickers comes with the phone but the boxes come separately which they stick it on the box at the time of selling so you a get a brand new feeling. 
All 3 sellers are from Calcutta and they all reselling the phones procured from the same place which I am aware of inside out.

In INDIA the only version available is HTC ONE X (S720E)
if the specification says its a dual core then its an imported version cos L stands for LTE
which is the next generations of networks in us and uk
i have myself bought one from ebay, n the phone is fine:-} but the box in whic it was shipped was really crappy:-?
if u adore the hardware more than the fact tat its refurbished this is the one to go for:roll: 
i suggest you to not to buy it.becuse it does not look like genuine to me
