I've been reading dimer reports for the last few days regarding SBI CashBack card being issued instantly to people having existing relationship with SBI Cards/Bank... So, I decided to try my luck today through SPRINT platform and yes, got approved, virtual card generated, usable instantly and showing up in SBI Card app/web portal. Physical card would be dispatched in a day or so...
* Looks like due to financial year-ending and last quarter ending soon, they have eased auto card approval through sprint to meet their targets, especially for existing relationships and are giving CB card even to SimplyClick holders which was forbidden just sometime ago... try your luck! *
Things to note if you tend to apply :
- Apply through SPRINT online platform only, not applicable offline in any way...
- Applicable for existing SBI Card holders or SBI bank account holders.
- Have acceptable CIBIL and clean SBICard payment history. Yes, they do a hard CIBIL enquiry...
- No VKYC, extra docs, wait time, physical verification needed.
- Just a selfie, digilocker OTP verification, 1Rupee transaction via bank account (verification).
- Most data is already populated and auto filled in the system, just select and proceed after giving PAN.
- Use same mobile number as your existing card / SBI account.
- Best approval chances when addresses match with current aadhaar address..
- CB card credit limit is around 20% of your current (at least for me, yours may differ). Card limit is independent of existing card, not shared. FYF then renewal fee as usual (see pic).
- Virtual card (VCC) generated immediately and you can set limits and start to use. New card linked to portal/app.
- Better if your existing SBI card is atleast 6 months old and you've received a credit limit increase at least once.

I have one query, I already have SBI prime credit card and want to apply for cashback card.
But by current City /state is different than mentioned for SBI prime credit card.
Any suggestions, how to apply / mention related to this difference current address thing.

I didn't have the current address proof still applied. They didn't physical verification and the card was approved
Those who have got msg that we are validating your application and it may take 12-24 hrs, is it the fixed timeline they are following or getting approval/rejection msgs in few hrs only?

Also It did Show Rs 999 as Joining Fee on Sprint But On SBI Card App While Acknowledging didn't Show any Fees And Specifically it was Written No Joining Fees.
Transfer limit from existing card.
I got WhatsApp MSG from SBI cards that your credit card is approved click the link to generate virtual cc instantly but when I login using the link it shows validation under process may take 12-24 hours.
Is it approved or not?
Also I haven't received any pdf on my mail or any SMS regard approval other than tentative cc limit.
* Transfer Credit Limit from Existing SBI credit card - Process *
1. Call up SBI Card CC 1860 500 1290
2. Select the option 1 after selecting language, key in your details as asked and choose talk to an agent option.
3. Place a request to transfer (x amount) credit limit from card ending xxxx to CB card ending yyyy.
4. Agent asks 2/3 verification questions and asks for final consent.
5. CL is transferred immediately and visible on app/web portal. You get a confirmation SMS too.
It says annual fee ₹999 + taxes
Again, if you spend ₹2L or more within the next next one year, the Annual Fee of ₹999 + GST to be charged in the 13th Billing Statement, will be reversed after charging.

I have a CIBIL score of 785 and 5L limit in other cards. Yet they gave no reason for rejection. Does opening a savings account in SBI help?

I received call for uploading documents regarding income, then when i checked application status it shows application pending and there was option to compete application, there they are asking me to choose a date for ekyc

@the_Kirang One thing I follow for filling such web forms for financial products nowadays is to use ALL CAPS and space, no special characters... but dunno if that is the issue here... maybe pincode serviceability?
Also, most are designed to proceed automatically without manual verification is exactly matching addresses entered and as recorded on aadhaar...

Digilocker verification at the last step is always failing for me since a month, though OTP and all are perfectly okay.. anyone else has this issue ? I tried different browsers both on Desktop and Mobile, same issue exists.
Did you get any sms/call from SBIcard for continuing or initiating a manual vkyc process? Also if your entered addresses (esp. pincode) do not match, this error may come as reported by other dimers in other thread I read sometime ago.
I too received the same message after entering all the details yesterday morning. But then in evening received an sms to track application status, and after that I completed kyc and bank verification.

So you unable to proceed further at all? In that case, I don't think there is any other way as this card can only be applied online through sprint website. Your office address pincode also not serviceable?
What is the referral benefit amount, and is it given instantly to referee once the person's application gets approved?
