I've been reading dimer reports for the last few days regarding SBI CashBack card being issued instantly to people having existing relationship with SBI Cards/Bank... So, I decided to try my luck today through SPRINT platform and yes, got approved, virtual card generated, usable instantly and showing up in SBI Card app/web portal. Physical card would be dispatched in a day or so...
* Looks like due to financial year-ending and last quarter ending soon, they have eased auto card approval through sprint to meet their targets, especially for existing relationships and are giving CB card even to SimplyClick holders which was forbidden just sometime ago... try your luck! *
Things to note if you tend to apply :
- Apply through SPRINT online platform only, not applicable offline in any way...
- Applicable for existing SBI Card holders or SBI bank account holders.
- Have acceptable CIBIL and clean SBICard payment history. Yes, they do a hard CIBIL enquiry...
- No VKYC, extra docs, wait time, physical verification needed.
- Just a selfie, digilocker OTP verification, 1Rupee transaction via bank account (verification).
- Most data is already populated and auto filled in the system, just select and proceed after giving PAN.
- Use same mobile number as your existing card / SBI account.
- Best approval chances when addresses match with current aadhaar address..
- CB card credit limit is around 20% of your current (at least for me, yours may differ). Card limit is independent of existing card, not shared. FYF then renewal fee as usual (see pic).
- Virtual card (VCC) generated immediately and you can set limits and start to use. New card linked to portal/app.
- Better if your existing SBI card is atleast 6 months old and you've received a credit limit increase at least once.

Did everything but they closed my Sept 2022 application just a few days ago (basically blocked me from re-applying for so many months). And now even after I received the "could not be approved" SMS and email, if I fill in Sprint again, it says "documents pending. submit them". When I contacted their useless customer care, they said to try in new FY/April. Worst CC company ever.🙄👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
My overall experience with SBI cards is terrible. And I have savings account with them for a long time with good MAB, FDs, SBI mutual fund investments, even family accounts.
The first time when I had applied for PRE-APPROVED SimplyCLICK at the branch upon their invitation, they "accidentally" issued me SimplySAVE and I had to threaten RBI action to get them to issue me the card I had applied for.
Then later this year they denied me ₹1000 gift voucher + additional pre-approved card I was eligible for citing some technical issue. Escalated to Nodal officer -> PNO -> Customer Service Head but no use. Then I had closed all SBI cards. They got me to re-activate SimplyCLICK with fake promise on audio call that it will be LTF and then levied annual charges. I got the charges reversed after many emails and escalations finally.
Now this Cashback card experience is similar. They denied in Sept saying I did not have a business billboard at my home for having work-from-home business. And did not close the application until few days ago in late-Feb or early March 2023 so I can't get the card nor re-apply. After March 31, this card may cease to be FYF in which case I won't get it.
Unless you get anything in writing over email, don't trust them. They can treat you like trash.
@some1anywhere Classic case of unlucky and mistreated customer... I suggest to keep away from them/maintain status quo for 2 years at least without any application or communication... take the credit limit hikes and let the card account mature before doing any new thing. Just forget they exist apart from using the existing card. (some might not like my post here)
My ekyc was scheduled today and the selected time slot have passed, no one from the bank contacted or rescheduled it

How to contact sbi cc customer care, everytime i am trying calling them it says no. Busy, my ekyc was scheduled on Monday nobody contacted me and since then no communication received from bank

Applied for this card on 26 March. And received text msg and application number. Today received call from their side and said my card is approved with limit range between 1.5 Lakh to 6 lakh. I only have IDFC WOW secured credit card with 10k limit. And credit score around 750 with 3-4 months old credit history.
It is fraud? They sent message today with my application number and insisting me to apply by login with Internet Banking (upload documents from bank) and not with the statement pdf upload(Scan and Upload). I'm doubtful to enter internet banking password on that website. They said uploading bank statement pdf may stall my application and will be difficult to proceed.
Anyone has faced this situation?

Applied on 27 March 2023 - Via sprint including assigned limit range sms & bank verification 1 rs deduction
28 March 2023 - Received call back early morning due to some issue application got stuck it will proceed automatically as per twitter team this was false calls /spam they unable to identify mentioned call no
30 March - I approach already twitter sbi card team regards my application stuck at following page i recieved call back from my during start application filled pincode Head office it filled as my Adhar home address but my current location is Office address that is different state So i approached over call why it stuck she told need Live photo & esign only left because of application hold i informed here i am in office address she told she can't proceed my next kyc steps due to location you mentioned in current location that is different.
03 Apr - I am still approaching sbi twitter team to complete kyc - Till now no updates calls.
05 apr - I shoot mail to cc via email regards current status & current conversations happens with CSM or local kyc call back team - got response in next 2 days 21 days processing wait till.
07 apr - I again shoot mall to cc & nodal - same response received wait 21 days - Till now i am in same stage
10 apr - i approached cs head along with previous trail mail & conversation with sbi card team - i received same 21 days reply
12 apr - I am now thinking it won't go next leave it till now i am getting 21 days email response.
15 apr - I again mail to cs head kindly complete kyc as per my current address they said we are taking request it is subjective to approval wait next 10 days.
20 apr - Till now no updates i again waited
26 apr 03.30pm - again raised email to cs head this time some angel person took request for complete kyc with 10 days subjective to approval email given sr no & same day again i received call back from local team to complete kyc but i informed please complete kyc at my current office address as i informed earlier she is telling she not authorized to take request for complete kyc beside adhar address that i given but i was unable to available due to official reason in next 5months finally i clarify cs head confirm sbi can take kyc from any place she hanged up informed she will ask with senior team.
26 apr 06.00pm around - Received call back & sms for assigned kyc person from sbi card & informed me regards current location someone will come for kyc completion.
26 apr 07.10 pm - Someone come for immediately complete kyc informed recently i got request from nearby sbi card office for ur application no i verified it was same he took live photo ask some basic details & filled up & one otp will come from nesl to digital sign form he check kindly verify prefilled details as filled up in sprint i check & given esign now all digital process done , given me physical two forms for sign for cashback card i signed both of them one come with sbi cashback card logo please verify .
27 apr 06.21 Pm - Till now no updates immediately i received sms thanks for sbi card family finally it approved i am already simplyclick holder from july 2022 still sbi need following kyc procedure most of time.
