Big fan of sci-fi movies. Here is my list of top sci-fi movies I have watched, with rating out of ten as per my thinking:

1. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (9.5) – Fantastic Sci-fi Romantic Movie
2. Serenity (9.5) – I don’t get tired of watching it one more time
3. Inception (9.4)
4. Prometheus (9.4) – Humans have finally found THE GODS
5. Matrix (9.4)
6. In time (9.1) – Money decides when you die
7. The day the earth stood still (9.0) – The aliens have finally landed in the form of KEANU REEVES
8. Starship Troopers (9.0) (The first movie is the best of the three) – Bugs
9. Daybreakers (8.9)
10.Doomsday (A) (8.9)
11.Knowing (8.8) – someone knows what’s going to happen
12.Star Trek (8.8) (The whole series is good)
13.Starwars (8.7) (All 6 movies are good)
14.Zombieland (8.7) (comedy on zombies – don’t know why I put it in sci-fi)
15.X Files (both films) (8.7)
16.Transformers (8.6) (All three movies are watchable)
17.28 weeks later (8.5) – Another good zombie movie
18.28 days later (8.4) – One more
19.Battleship (8.4) – More of an alien movie, if you classify alien movies as sci-fi, the list will grow longer
20.Children of Men(A) (8.2) (Women could no longer get pregnant – Is this the End)
21.The Book of Eli (8.1)
22.The Road (8.0) – The story of a boy and his father post apocalytic world
23.X-Men (8.0) (The whole series is watchable)
24.Surrogates (7.9)
25.Sunshine (7.9) (Don’t like sci-fi movies that end up being ghost stories)
26.Contact (7.8)
27.The Fifth element (7.5)
28.The Happening (7.1) – Plants have turned against humans and killing everyone
29.Contagion (7.1)
30.The Fourth Kind (7.0)
31.The Journey to the centre of the Earth (7.0)

Jai bhai, from ur list i have seen only paycheck ( which i loved)

Blood Diamond as usual was amazing.

Cast Away, forest gump, Catch me if u can, The green Mile and almost all of tom hanks movies are marvelous.

Pursuit of happiness superb

Dont like Leonardo much, but eveytime i see his movies ( It takes me nearly 1-2 months to decide if i should see the movie or not) and when ever i do i regret not watching it before ( happened with blood diamond, catch me if u can, aviator and many more)

Except Equilibrium watched all of bale’s movie u posted.

Transformers, like u said only i saw the first part ( was good ) and the other parts too

Super man (All parts, ironman 1,2, hulk & gi joe

M a diehard fan of Die hard,

And the others too. Good collection appu.

If you are into sc-fi you can watch Prometheus and if you like animated movies Madagascar 3 is actually quite enjoyable

21 jump street, 3rd day show @ PVR. Was good. Light comedy and an entertainer.

Dealmate, actually got a friend a 1 TB hdd. In return asked him to get me movies. HE filled up 200gb worth of movies, all 720 and 1080p movies and gave me. Filled 100 gb on my lappy and had to return them back.

Saw rango, Limitless and many more till now. Will remember the names once i see it posted here.

Infact i was going to paste all the names of the movies i have now, but i wrote around 30-40 movies name and accidentally closed the notepad file. Now m too lazy to do that again.

Mind it, these are all the movies i have not seen. if i were to include the once i saw, the list would not end. Some are good some are bad in this.

If anyone can be kind enough to tell me which movies i can delete i would do it without seeing it. Deleted a few after seeing its rating to be at 4.5 or something on IMDB.

Also in my personal collect have some good old movies of Alfred Hitchcock . Good once, have to watch them too.

Have watched only a few of the above movies:
The Illusionist – Just watchable – About a magician, his girlfriend, his illusions and how he created them.
Indecent proposal – pure drama movie (watched only half of it) – a man wants to sleep with someone else wife and offers one million dollars for it
Inglorious Bastards – Good Movie but very, very, very far from reality – they managed to kill the furrer (Adolf Hitler) during a movie show in this movie.
Apollo 13 – There are much better sci-fi movies present
Contagion – Waste of time – See my list, you will find it in the bottom
Shutter Island – Leonardo as a Psycho again – Good Movie

I actually deleted Illusionist from my movie list last time and again got it this time, so thought i should see it.
Apollo 13 is for tom hanks acting not anything else. U really cant compare an old movie with a new one. The effects back then were bad but hey it was the best for that time.
Contagion : is on ur list with 7.1 rating, So should i leave it??

BTW anyone seen 12 Angry men??? Its just superb. 1 guy of the jury convinces 11 other guys that a kid is innocent in a murderer trail. The entire movie is just in a room and with only those 12men. Black and white but u ll love it.

Out of the 4-5 outbreak type movies I have seen, contagion is probably the worst one.
So yes, I think u should skip this one.

Really sad that u people did not liked The Illusionist its amazing movie, the magician who does everything to save his love just portrayed wonderfully by Edward Norton

Watch 1408 and ring series seriously are good horror thrillers

Do not mess with zohan, blue streak and night at the museum are hillarious

Serendipity is lovable

Kingkong is fantastic

I dont wanns talk about american pie series…

Perfume, revolver are ok ok

Badboys series is entertaining

Ongbak partone is fabulous

Ninja assasin is ok ok

Predator part one is a epic

Dont miss duedate its is awesome
