I ordered realme c30 phone & It was open box delivery

Upon receiving the phone courier boy was in hurry so he did not opened the box and i also did not wanted to waste his time , give him otp and took the phone

when i opened the box i saw there was no plastic film on the phone and there was minor scratch at charging jack which means may be someone  returned it . and they re-packed it . Also as there was no plastic film so i could see light fingers marks on screen

I see 7 days replacmnt warranty but when i click on return option it says only service center repl warranty .

I called cust care and they also say you need to visit service centre .

Iam sure service centre will not do repl and if they do they will create job sheet and it may take few days

Kindly help guys why cant we replace the phone if i purchased from flipkart then flipkart should replace it . this is unfair 😌

Expiring In 15 days

Have you seen how flipkart wishmaster checks your phone during the exchange process? Same thing we have to do during open box delivery

these days mobiles are under "Open Box" delivery and if you have shared the OTP then end of the story as after that any hardware/software issues are to be checked at service center only and issues that you have pointed out will not be addressed by service center..moral of the story is we need to spend atleast 10-15mins and check the device (guess these days mobiles are to be left with min 50% charge for these checks but no clue what if the charging tech or charger is not working later - which i guess should be addressed by service center only) and its accessories and if the courier person says hurry or rushes us then its our right to deny the OTP until checks are done..(this will impact their deliveries but atleast let them complain to FK about this stupid process) for big appliances like ACs/TVs etc I have lost hope in Amazon/FK as best is to get them offline during festival time to avail some discounts or offers as for the 1-2k extra  savings via online these guys (Amazon/FK) have complicated the whole process and our lives get screwed if we end up with a defective product in the first place 😌

Mobile return/replacement policy changed many years ago, hence there is open box delivery. You didn't wanted to waste delivery boy's time but ended up wasting yours own joy.

Complaint them that Delivery Boy denied the Open Box Delivery and you accepted the phone with OTP. They are supposed to capture the picture of the product and upload it on the Flipkart Delivery App. If you didn't took the open box delivery, they will be having no proof for the same.

It's your fault here, so be prepared for the mental harrasment by the 0 IQ CC executives.

The delivery boy opened the brown colored box outer box and  he took photos of the phone box (realme phone was packed in it , it was not opened it has polythene wrapped  )
thats it

Does open box delivery means opening of that Realme phone box as well ?

exactly 😀😃 had the worst experience in 2021 as for a sec i wasn't sure if the guy is from Flipkart or from FBI/CIA, luckily at Amazon there were no questions asked and the person didn't even check the mobile as he was happy that it was switching ON but not sure how is the exchange process now at Amazon..

Never buy mobiles from flipkart.

Amazon is better in this regard.

yes..we need to open the Realme phone box as well and check if all the components as mentioned in the product page are there and if you find the product is not in tact i.e. already used or any item missing then decline the shipment and don't share the OTP

  1. At the time of delivery, the customer or the recipient of the product needs to share the last four-digit number of delivery phone number or primary account phone number with the Delivery executive to initiate the OBD process. If the customer opted for COD, then they need to do the payment first and then OBD process will be initiated by the delivery executive
  2. The Customer will then inspect the ordered product in presence of the delivery executive, if the received order is the same as what they ordered for and if the product is in good condition and not damaged.
  3. Post the verification, customers shall be required to share the OTP with the delivery executive to acknowledge the confirmation that he/she has inspected the product before getting it delivered.
  4. In the event if the ordered product is not intact, damaged or it is the wrong product. The product must be handed over to the delivery executive which shall be returned, and the refund will be initiated immediately. In case of Cash on delivery, cash will be refunded immediately by the delivery executive. In the case of prepaid, the money will be credited within two business days.
  5. In the event the product is damaged, the customer should decline the shipment.

Yes. He has to upload opened phone pic . In my nothing phone delivery he took two to three pics of nothing phone from different angles as app ask them to upload phone pic. It is strange that he did not upload mobile phone pic.

actually this applies to any product that has the "Open Box delivery" option and as per FK's policy once if you share the OTP it means the product you received was in good condition and acknowledged by you itself and any issue later till the warranty period has to be borne by the product's manufacturer which means we need to take it to the service center where they will only fix hardware/software issues and not provide any missing accessory or give you a new product if the product received was refurbished..

for me with this "Open box delivery" process FK are indirectly saying better buy at offline stores where first you will get out of your house (physical activity), spend some 20-30mins time in the store, interact with sales people rather watching the website/app online even though what crap they say about their products and most importantly take care of your product so that it lasts min 2-3yrs so that you don't have to do this tedious work frequently 😀

I don't think every customer and even delivery person will follow all above procedure.

Rules are not followed 100% anywhere.

Whether it's from customer side or delivery person side..

agree but unfortunately for us (customers) FK follows it strictly so eventually its a loss for us at the end if we don't follow their policy as its we (customers) are buying from FK and not vice versa 😌

I've ordered multiple phs for family in last 1-3 months, every time the delivery agent asked me to give otp and check the ph later, I told him to take the phone back.👆🏼

Delivery agents are riding us as noobs, let them stay for even 15 mins at your place if you want to check everything on your phone. once OTP provided you've to deal with worst customer service or they will tell you to visit OEM.

I've rejected 3 orders based on this same style of delivery, sir we're in hurry, check box and give us OTP, I told these delivery guys "bhai leja ph wapisi, dobara mardua main order" and that smart guy had to stay with me till I'm satisfied or with attitude, marked as nobody was available or delivered address is incorrect. Bunch of fools.

For OP: good luck, ordering ph online and getting bad stuff is like PIA to deal in 2023. If I were you, I would charge back Flipkart if paid via Credit card.
