One of my relative receives a call few minutes ago about asking otp for OLX.
What He Wanted To Do By Using This OTP?
Or
What Can he do with this OTP?
My relative has no Debit card,Upi etc only a bank account.
Number of fraudster - +917668876249 (you can mark as spam)
Actually he said my relative that her Jio Sim's validity is going to expire.tell me otp to avoid the same.

Most fraudster accounts get banned from OLX quite quickly. Also, when someone is contacted on OLX people started looking at when the OLX account was creating by going to account page and if the account is recently created then it’s a red flag.
If it’s an old OLX account then people trust it more if that person is selling something. Looks like these fraudsters are trying to take control of old OLX accounts and then scam people by posting fake ads through the taken over OLX profile.
She has No OLX Account. Also Number Is At least 2-3 years old.
Ask him to recharge ur phone or send some money, then u will give otp
The exact same happened with my sister and she gave the caller OTP. Later, when I checked the OTP was from OLX and then I checked the OLX account with her number only to find out that her account was suspended.

Same fraud happened with me..a man called me and saying your jio sim is expiring..share your otp…and i shared it…and now immediately i realised iy was from olx .i i downloaded olx and tried to login from my no. ..i have never used olx before this and yet it was showing that your account is suspended…i dont know..niw what should i do…??if anyone knows why i did this then let me know…

I don’t know why ‘You’ did it, if you’re asking why they do this:
- Scammer gets OTP from you creates Account with info and lists Products at cheap prices
- Interested parties contact scammer, scammer says I’m in a different city and need to ship the product, give me some advance
- Party provides advance and waits till eternity for Product
- Spammer gets money, Party gets scammed, You’re bali ka bakra
The same incident took place with my mom as well.. sunday ko 1 bje unke jio phone pe call aata h 7850052474 is no se and they were telling ki aapka jio no block hone wala h kyuki recharge nhi h toh aap otp bta dijiye hm theek kr denge and while she was talking tabhi otp bhi aa jata h.. she knew that it was a fraudulent call so unhone thoda bol k phone cut kr diya.
Why people ask reasons.
Otp means you dont need to share it. Thats it.
Atleast Never share on phone call.
I received a phishing call from 8479044301 mentioning some lucky draw. The caller had details of my number, my name and the item I ordered from AMAZON.
Those details are probably leaked by delivery persons.. earlier it used to be for Paytm orders..
