Before a month my S20+ started showing green lines after updating to Android 12. From past two weeks Samsung admitted these Green lines are due to Android update and giving Free screen replacement(Primary Display + Battery for S20 series) if there is no physical damage to phone even it's out of warranty. I got mine replaced last week and Service center folks said this replacement support may be there upto year-end.

For phones less than 20k, service center says mobo change is needed whereas they only downgrade and samsung sides with them. These cheaper phones dont sell in developed countries otherwise there would have been a class action lawsuit as their ota updates are breaking it.perks of living in a doomed country + @getready @LIMBO

It's good and very surprising that Samsung owned up to it's responsibility. Must be a pretty widespread issue.

I am damn surprised and shocked that they are taking the responsibility for this mishap.

Last when midrange M series had motherboard issues, they put blame on customers and had asked them to replace Motherboard worth 10000 for phone bought for 15000.

There should be some serious law or rules to punish these things from Mobile companies but it is too much to ask in current state of affairs.

This green line problem existed in my S9 as well. This is definitely due to faulty hardware used by samsung.

Got this vertical green line show up on my S20+ a few hours back. It's a very well maintained phone (always used with a case) - despite being 2 years old now. I am hoping they'll honor their commitment to replacing the screen free of charge. Will go to the service center later this week - let's see.

Sorry to hear that. I'd recommend trying a different service centre in your city, and be confident yet nice with the folks there.

They were quite helpful for me, despite a few additional minor issues with my phone. I got my phone screen +  battery replaced free of charge, delivered within 5 days.

One of my friend got the same green line for his S20+, but he had a broken back case for his phone. Intially they deneied screen replacement, But he somehow convinced service center folks., paid 3k to replace the back case. After the service center sent mobile photos for APPROVAL OF SCREEN REPLACEMENT, and got it done freely.I think it depends on how helpful the service center folks are.

Pathetic service from Samsung customer care executives.. I bought my Samsung S20 Plus phone about 3 years back and suddenly out of nowhere i started getting Green and Pink Lines on the phone. After submitting my phone at the service centre they say that because this phone is purchased from another country they shall charge me. Dont understand this logic. Samsung is a worldwide brand and not a country specified one. Utterly disappointed. Also, the customer care staff member do not even listen to you when they talk on call with you. They cut you off in every sentence. This customer care executive told me she needs extra days for the phone because she was on leave for couple of days. Disappointed Customer.
